This mod makes it so ponds drop the old Freshwater fish, which is not usable for Wurt's Recipes.

@indie_kaname, it does spawn ice after breaking the ice layer.

it could yield ice, which would make sense. Does it? Or is it just for "ice fishing"?

There's a lot of people asking about refreezing, he said its a strait port, so i assume like the original: "It can't freeze again for 3-6 hours. Frogs and mosquitos won't spawn if it's winter, however fish can be caught."

@Ysovuka, i am familiar with your mod, and due to the fact that the one i uploaded doesn't have many features and possibilities of breaking/melting the ice, i called it simpler. By saying "simpler" i did not imply it was worse/better or had any other qualities.

I wouldn't call it simpler, just using a different method to the same approach. With my mod you can actually use fire to melt the ice along with other methods that aren't available in this mod. That doesn't make this mod better or worse, it simply makes it different.
