Hi this is a really awesome map, but I can't seem to find it where the create server is. Any way to play it?

This map's been a popular pick on our server, but I can't help but feel it's missing something. More stuff to do? Lotta blank space out in the grassy area.

that would be neat, i've pretty much stopped production on this map so if anyone else wanted to take it up and polish it that would be cool, I have all the files still so send him my way

Pardon me commenting again on this months later, but I do know someone who could update this map to look more polished like the real game. However in order to do so, he needs the original hammer file for the map. I understand if you decline, but I figured I'd ask anyways since it's my favorite TF2 map and really wanted to see if it could be better polished. Adding a skybox is a big thing I want out of it as you know. Regardless, I'll wait patiently for an answer.

Thank you I really appreciate it! Yeah I wish I would have made a better skybox but i've been really busy lately with personal stuff so I haven't touched this map in forever, maybe I could "hire" some people to help me improve this thing someday.

Still love your vids Geno, but I really wish you could come back to this map. I'd love for it to have a skybox with an actual ocean to look at, but I'm awful at map compilation. Someday I will try, but right now I'm just complimenting this beauty. Thanks for the hilarious vids and being a fan of this gem of a game.

How did you manage to get them all at the correct pixel level to work with vtfedit

Use a photo editing program to isolate each texture from the main thing, then convert them to .vtf using a program called "vtfedit".

Yeah i just watched the entire video! that's amazing how much dtail you went into to create this! I myself am still trying to get lighting down! i just find it difficult to make realistic lighting using hammer. I'm trying to do the Rogueport Sewers for Gmod. I couldn't figure out how to get textures from the game, so I did the whole minecraft port thing, but i just couldn't get everything to work out correctly. I might be able to do it now with all that you helped. Thanks again!

The fuuny thing was, was that i was trying to do this for gmod, and couldnt figure out how to rip textures, so i just used a minecraft version, and needless to say the optimization was so bad that it gave my computer cancer

The entire map was made from scratch but the textures were the actual ones ripped straight from the game.

Would you mind explaing to me how you created this map? did you rip the model from TTYD itself or did you make it from scratch, also how did you get all of the textures to look like they do? Did you make them yourself? Im just curious because i really would like to create my own map based off of other games for Gmod

ahh yes, i remember Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door being my favorite and first paper mario game i played. i saw you as a youtuber, but now my doubts about your creativity are so wrong! keep cruising!, man! keep cruising! being a fan of your videos, i bet a lot of people would expect to see this be part of one! xD also, this is not a request, but i personally love the X-Naut Fortress, and i kept praying someone would make it as a trade server. as i said, this is not a request, for i am a man who is happy to see what is made. i'll leave the idea for someone else if it isn't something you intend to build that might last for a year or so. time is precious, and needed used wisely after all!
