I think this Aldi supermarket is causing all my high streets shops to go out of business! is it because its high density and the others are low?

Also any plans of modeling car dealerships? Currently there is only one I believe, a BMW dealership. I'm no expert but one model could be made and use different brands for texturing.

I know you have your Tesco and other supermarket's assets but they are not really super stores.

Hi Tenfootpowder,

I use 3ds max for modelling and photoshop for texturing, theres a really useful thread on the paradox forums which will probably help you on your way.

It is for 3ds max though but should give you some hint and tips:

Hi Rik,

Off topic a little, I have been trying Sketchup to make assets, but have hit a brick wall when in comes to getting anything decent into CS. I have followed some youtube vids that use Autodesk 3ds max, but still get assets whos surfaces are very weird. What Software are you using.

Any direction greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately the max size for growable is 4 x 4, all of my models are bigger than that (if i shrink them to 4x4 they wouldnt look very good). I am thinking about making a growable set with smaller stores like tesco express etc.

@Stephen Amen. It's bad enough we can't use the new European buildings on other maps, not even as districts. The less restrictions, the better.

There are Aldis in the States, too, so I don't think restrcting them to European maps makes sense.

You should make these buildings European map only, or perhaps duplicates - one standard and one European.
