I'm sad to not see a mod for add AND Balance the tarquinia units for Etruscan League...
Lot of mod simply add tarquinian units... but it's not balanced ... (tpically... etrucan hoplite of ROTR was very nerfed in comparaison of Etruscan hoplite mercenary of grand campaingn...
Warriordude 29. nov. 2020 kl. 15:28
I noticed the only unit that doesn't have a 3d card is etruscan axes. I'm using nordo pic 3d unit cards that's the only one that doesn't have a 3d card.

Rizzler 27. mar. 2018 kl. 17:06
Can you please update the mod? Thanks.

Hey just wanted to say I've had a great time with this mod, and just wondered if you were going to update it more and if you have any other rome 2 projects in mind?
vincent.essique 6. dec. 2017 kl. 16:24
Can you make an update where you don't need the "All Playable" mod? There are other mods
(more updated) where you can play as the Etruscans.

Rename axemen to 'Etruscan Axemen' (there are no other Etruscan axemen in the game so the specification is unneccessary) and either remove the shield from the card or replace the two-handed axe with a one-handed one and give them shields (I believe that would be more historically accurate). I've also never seen a mercenary axemen unit (or any of the new units as mercenaries) so I assume you didn't make them, but it doesn't make sense when Etruscan hoplites are available to everyone and Etruscan axemen aren't (also Etruscans have currently got 'Etruscan Spearmen' and the mercenary unit is still 'Italian Spearmen'). To achieve perfection, make it so Etruria can form legions when cohort organisation is researched!

Remove that falxes.
Doomed World 10. juni 2015 kl. 14:07
I dont think Etruscans had Falxs
Oronzo Pellai 11. apr. 2015 kl. 11:16
The main problem is that your roster just replace the basic one for all "italic" factions, like Samnites or Lucanians, and not just for the Etruscans.

I have been away for a week, but now i am back and will take a look on some of the problem you have had with the mod.
Kingfisher 19. mar. 2015 kl. 12:46
Nice mod, but the a unit has invisible two handed weapons.
RogueGuyRy 15. mar. 2015 kl. 18:27
ok. welli think you should still bugg the swordsmen and spearmen. their utterly worthless as is.
80 Years Russian 15. mar. 2015 kl. 13:48
Are you noob
Oronzo Pellai 15. mar. 2015 kl. 5:47
The aim of the mod is to have accurate units, not a lot of them, everything must have a serious bibliography.
S.F Executioner 14. mar. 2015 kl. 21:37
In short, Swastika is an anicent symbol of Sun use world wide around the world for thousand years. Was use as good luck bless. But thanks to Hitler, his madness and idiotic ruin the Swastika.
S.F Executioner 14. mar. 2015 kl. 21:35
Swastika is not only Indian symbol, the oldest swastika was found in Ukraine, and use spread wide in Rome, Greek, Germanic, East European, even found on stones at North Amercia before Colonial Age, for thousands years since Stone Age as a good luck (the Sun) before Nazi turn it into war crime symbol.

45th Infantry Division used Swastika as their unit symbol before 1930s.

RogueGuyRy 14. mar. 2015 kl. 11:31
on the two handed axes
RogueGuyRy 14. mar. 2015 kl. 11:31
axes arent visible in game by the way. they dont show up.
RogueGuyRy 14. mar. 2015 kl. 9:20
oh and I think you should team up with another modder who has more experience so you guys can get some more units that arent just renamed. and maybe you can boost the etruscan swordsmen a little. they are pretty week. sometimes even lose to unarmored shortswords which is kinda sad to watch tbh.
RogueGuyRy 14. mar. 2015 kl. 9:17
a swatstica was not only an indian symbol? Greeks used it... nazis used it... and its actually four of the greek letter gamma put together... and yes etruscans did use swatsticas so... get rekt helix
Helix34 14. mar. 2015 kl. 7:40
swastica was an indian symbol
The Border Reiver 14. mar. 2015 kl. 1:40
Good looking mod, I'm using it too now. It goes well with my mod Ager Romanus - Italia Renascitur where I have unlocked Etrusca, Lucania and Samnites. It is available here in the Steam Workshop campaign section.
S.F Executioner 13. mar. 2015 kl. 18:44
If I don't wrong, Estrucan use a lot of swastika symbol for good luck and their skirt is shorter.
Eva Sinclaire 13. mar. 2015 kl. 13:04
Says it is older then my version of game so can i play with this mod?
sergwarr 13. mar. 2015 kl. 11:13
Very interesting variant of History...Thanks...Unexpected idea and ...that is why wonderful ! Good for you! I think ,that my Etrusian troops will be bored without desperate Femalewarriors...Yes?Do it,please!!!Thank you beforehand...Good luck!
Kemosh 13. mar. 2015 kl. 1:59
i can't see axes of "Etruscan Two-Handed Axemen " what i can do?
Oronzo Pellai 12. mar. 2015 kl. 15:47
However now the clever author of this mod has the PDF I wrote, which is a synthesis of the "Gli Eserciti Etruschi", written by the archaeologist Ivo Fossati, the only published work on this subject. So everything you'll see will be as accurate as possible.
Oronzo Pellai 12. mar. 2015 kl. 15:39
Where did you find reference for a massive use of handed axe in the late hellenstic period @Fritz? Chariots where used in war only to transport the general and not to fight, as the hilly Tuscany doesn't allow such use. Then, chariots were no more used after VI century BC.
Etruscan never used throwing axes, but javelins (pila) after the IV century BC, as they became common in area after the arrival of the Gauls.
Hololo 12. mar. 2015 kl. 12:24
Ahh great :D impatient to break some Hoplite phalanx with those.
RogueGuyRy 12. mar. 2015 kl. 11:35
a good base for levy axes would be karian axemen and just change their shields
RogueGuyRy 12. mar. 2015 kl. 11:35
you should also add a levy axe men and an axe men. just so you have some more units who arent just renamed.
RogueGuyRy 12. mar. 2015 kl. 11:20
nice! please dont stop updating this like other people do.
GooZ  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2015 kl. 10:08
William. I would like to see what you got.
I have made two-handed axemen by porting the two-handed axe from Attila as placeholder, just so the animation dont look weird it will be in the next update.
RogueGuyRy 12. mar. 2015 kl. 9:10
some historical refrences say that used two and one handed axes. and they threw the onehanded axes, but since thats not possible maybe they could have like a couple javelins. and they known for their chariots to.
Will 12. mar. 2015 kl. 8:44
I like it. Simple historically plausable units rather than fantasy ones. I recently saw the Etruscan exhibit at the British museum.I have photos of real Etruscan equipment if you're interested in improve the mod even more.
Hololo 11. mar. 2015 kl. 9:27
You forget the Etruscan Axeman (Faesiz) wich had he big role in the battle.
Myrmidon 11. mar. 2015 kl. 3:02
Great idea, rather than having their units genric in the vanilla as 'italian'. Should make for more diversity, keep up the good work!
Oronzo Pellai 11. mar. 2015 kl. 2:22
The problem with pictures is that they normally show Etruscan armie of the VI century BC, more or less. I'll send you also some images.
GooZ  [ophavsmand] 10. mar. 2015 kl. 7:39
Sure it would be nice to see what you got. i have only seen some pics from library books.
Oronzo Pellai 10. mar. 2015 kl. 5:54
Nice job, I'm the author of that post. I agree with almost all the mod and I suscrbe to it, the only problem are the "scutum". The ones you used are the samnite style, you should use the roman style, like hastati/princeps/triarii. If you want detailed information about equipment I can send you a PDF with all you need in it.
jayful 9. mar. 2015 kl. 22:21
Thanks, maybe you can do the same for the other minor units.
