Because a knife does not stay sharp forever, and it only consumes ammo upon a hit, not a swing.

this is damn awesome! i have a few suggestions though:
-bring back the quick knife
-add a cvar to change the damage multiplier
-add a cvar to enable/disable durability (i dont really need it myself but it might help some other people using this mod)
i love the attack animation aswell, its so similar to battlefield which makes it really awesome!
