If you guys want to find the riot shield easy there is a Combine stun stick mod that usually ups the chance of a riot shield also

To be fair i've played L4D2 for over 1200hrs now with many friends and i have only come across a riot shield once on a modded server that unlocked all weapons. All the friends i play with have never ever seen it on official servers. However its still a very useful mod for when you do finally find this ultra rare piece of gear.

this is not a replacement....only a texture mod.
the riotshield (and the knife) are rare weapons in l4d2.
use of a melee unlocker (scripts/mission texts) can increase possibilities of getting/spawning one
