I uploaded my own update for this mod, Chocobos! , which fixes the chocobo speed and grass eating, and adds 3 new chocobos, configurable to be disabled.
Just... it's not a chocobo for me if it's not fast. :(
Make it compatible with ROG!!!

didn't seem to kick in whatsoever, however, using
inst.components.eater:SetDiet({ FOODTYPE.VEGGIE, FOODTYPE.INSECT, FOODTYPE.SEEDS, FOODTYPE.GENERIC, FOODTYPE.BIRDFOOD, })
allows me to eat cut grass again. this is in the RoG DST beta. just thought you'd like to know if you're having this problem too.
I think you're trying to describe Volg (the chocobo).
