@McFeddle Just give it a try, it really isn't that heavy.

@InfiniteFoes The addon really isn't that heavy, and the shaders are Shader Model 2.0b, so they should be compatible with a really wide range of GPUs. What are your specs?

Unfortunately, my potato of a computer can't handle even having this installed. Garry's Mod crashes just trying to load the files, before the map even loads in. I'll have to come back with a better computer.

My specs are Ryzen 5 3600, 16 gigs DDR4@3200mhz, 7900XT. On an empty flatgrass, I get about 800FPS. With about 260 volumes spawned, I get around 100 FPS.

Do you know what machines could run this reliably?

@Lambda Labs I am entirely dependent and limited by how and what is written to GShader library's GBuffer texture, which in turn is limited by GMod/Source.

Currently, there is a fix on the dev branch for transparent materials ($alphatest) and models that have opaque main materials but transparent sub mats.

been messing around and ive noticed a few issues, namely it doesnt work well with Advanced Bonemerge by no loafing, Sub Material Tool by Kawoosh64, and in general it seems to have some issues with model LODs. Besides that though this is a fantastic mod, lots of good stuff here
