Banshees are a little too aggro and fast honestly.
They tend to fire off two shots or three then go into Kamikaze mode flying into melee range like they got a deathwish.

@Irish Carbomb Maybe someday, I've messed with Halo 2 in the past, but it works pretty differently to Halo CE. Currently I'm playing around with Halo 3 ODST.

I still managed to steal the banshee under the twin bridges and checked every high places, sad there was nothing of interest, but I got surprised when I saw many rocks blocking the path where I managed to sneak the tank between rocks. I didn't try but it looks like they can be climbed on from one side, but if you fall you probably can't get back to the other side and get softlocked, especially if you get a checkpoint when exploring back (I did got one, but I had the banshee to fly so I wasn't stuck)
BTW did you remove the secret marine at the beginning of 343 guilty spark ? I tried to look for the guy but he was nowhere.

@Sapphic Yuri Himejoshi I made Chief taller than Vanilla because it always bothered me that he was the same height as the Marines. He towers over them in every future entry, so I changed it to be in line with the rest of the series. Call it revisionist game design.

@MissKiwi skulls are just for fun, I like beating enemies up with it, so I decided to put one on every level, it's nothing deeper than that lol
The Kestrel acts like the ghost because I didn't enjoy the way it flew. Neither the Banshee nor the Pelican physics were enjoyable to me. So I decided to model the Kestrel's movement off its appearance in the "Spartan Strike" game.

I also wonder what's the point of the skulls. I did the silent cartographer with the one I found in the security room, killed almost all enemies with it after that until I reached the end of the level, and nothing happened. Same for that added switch that was next to it, activated it but no idea what it did (the tank crushing master chief looking in the gap was surprising but funny tho)

I'm currently playing assault on the control room, I'm doing the underground double bridges right now, and while I won't repeat the ghost/warthog issues already stated, my main problem righ now is the kestrel. I can't fly with it, it just hover a little over the ground but doesn't actually fly. And I fell in the void so I had to refresh my checkpoint and kill all the enemies of the room again because of that :/ After my disappointment I couldn't get the banshee before the tunnel, I just really wanted to see if there's something in those unreachable places up there because some mods add hidden stuff and that kestrel gave me a false hope...

I'm having the same issues, motion tracker and targeting reticule are blue pixelated squares, black texture over weapon, no audio. I tried reinstalling the mod but the errors persist.

i legit have no idea what's going on with this mod for me, but whenever I launch it I'm met with a bunch of errors for whatever reason. Missing textures, a completely messed up hud, glitched AR textures, and absolutely no audio what so ever qwq

One of the best mods I have ever played in H:CE. Many changes that feel nice and amazing to play. Must say, the effort is seen and I loved it. My friends liked it too. Well done!! :steamthumbsup:

Doing a first-impression on Legendary and it's been fun until the first Warthog. Controlling it feels AWFUL. it's so bad you can barely make the first jump in the level in the Covenant tunnel on full speed (which is supposedly faster now?), and lord forbid if it starts to spin, it's actually got wheels of perma-ice. The closest thing to this kind of vehicle sim philosophy reminds me of Helldivers 2 except worse since I can't control gears. Loving everything else, but please revise this because I'm so not looking forward to playing The Maw with this infuriating physic.

why is the warthog so heavy ? it feels like im constantly driving on ice material and as its so heavy the physics starting to glitch i think as it likes to flip itself a lot of times

Also, the Warthog actually is pretty bad when maneuvering on slopped terrain I'll agree. Those who said the Ghost was bad idk where they get that idea since it handles well imho.

Got a Question for this Mod, In its Encounter Balancing / Mission Design, does it do the base CE thing of "Higher-Difficulty = Less Marines", Planning a playthrough of this mod but love my marine boyos a ton, So would rather not play on difficulties where less are featured.

Halo 1 AR with 36 rounds, high damage, good accuracy BUT STILL has the long reload? Yucky. It would be great if the reload was shorter to make the low mag capacity make sense.

Other grievance I got is the enemy banshees suck to deal with. Them moving so fast plus the shields makes them really tanky and hard to hit with rockets without risking yourself blowing up. Even had them nearly run me over a couple times (and kill me once by blowing up on top of me after I shot it) because their AI doesn't quite seem to handle their own speed too well.

As much as I like how good the banshees feel when I got to drive them, I'd much rather the banshee speed be nerfed a bit just so the enemy banshees aren't so annoying to deal with.

Actually a solid mod but there's a couple grievances I have with this mod after playing it with a friend:

Like everyone else says, the warthog is just flat out not good. Any kind of significantly uneven terrain or jumps makes the thing go tumbling and the gravity on it is a tad harsh (doesn't fit with the rest of Halo 1's physics if that makes sense).
My experience using it (I was primarily the one driving it up until the warthog run) was that the warthog feels like it both turns too sharp and not sharp enough at the same time, which wasn't a huge issue until I got to the warthog run in particular. The underpasses with the pillars are terrible because the warthog both "turns not sharp enough" to emulate what Halo 2, 3, and Reach's hog are capable of and turns "too sharp" to do normal Halo 1 warthog stuff.

I believe you can play across 2 systems, but that still means you need to play splitscreen.

I really appreciate you making Chief really tall. But I'm not a big fan of the handling on the vehicles (not that far in the game yet, so in this case the Ghost and the Warthog) other than that I'm loving the mod so far, (I'll delete this and make another comment if my opinion changes)
