@1911M45 only some weapons can be resupplied at all. Test things out in the editor to see if whatever you are trying to replenish even works. Hover over the status on the bottom of the replenishment ships. It should say how much resupplies they have and if they are currently servicing another vessel. If you still don’t see any result, maybe there is a conflict with another mod?

Why am I still unable to resupply even though I have set the resupply range and maximum resupply speed to within 1.5 nautical miles and 10 knots respectively?

@HofVanStrudel yes, its very easy to do that. Its just changing a number in the config files.

Im thinking about making another version with more realistic speeds. I have no idea about balancing that yet, but im working on it.

its not unrealistic to have a task force spread over 2.5 to 10nm in real life in peace time. likely more in war time combat ops so it isnt really an issue in real life. in the game tho it is an issue due to the oversensitivity of collision avoidance.

i do use formation editor, i also use multiple escorts though and often multiple carriers. having the front escorts move to the rear to resupply causes them to turn around directly into the path of the other ships, causing the entire task force to become a avoiding collisions mess

@Black Jesus collision avoidance kicks in at about 0.5nm from my experience. So the current 1.5nm radius is plenty, if only collision avoidance is the issue. I don’t want to extend the radius further, because I want to keep it at least somewhat realistic.

If you open the formation editor, you see these concentric circles around the formation lead. Now WITHOUT changing the scale (zooming in or out) you can use these to estimate distances. Place two ships (resupply and empty combatant) on two adjacent circles and they should fall within 1.5nm but safely outside of 0.5nm. (Granted, this only works on taskforces small enough where you don’t have to zoom out, but you can always create a dedicated resupply taskforce for this purpose). Does this make things easier?

great concept mod, could the distance be increased to 5nm please? collision avoidance is an absolute nightmare when trying to re arrange a task force.

Is there any way to modify this so that AShMs can be realoaded for carriers? A wing of A-6s go through harpoons at an alarming rate and are replenished IRL by VERTREP.

@flankymanga Is that mission chapter 3 of the amazing alliterations campaign by any chance? Cause I made that mission and since the last update that mission makes use of the ground supply mechanic. Because i had the same "what if" moment when i discovered that mechanic. :P

If not, what mission did you see that in? I wanna try it too.

I was literally looking 10 minutes back on discussions how to resupply ships as yesterday to my amazement i played a mission where author put down a ammo structure and it was possible to resupply ground units.... So i was wondering if fleet auxiliaries work the say way and they are not just a convenient moving target.... and here we are....

@strykerpsg Thank you! Not with my limited access and knowledge, no. I only copy-pasted parts of a .ini-file and the framework seems to be geared towards ammo supply, not fuel or range.

I think I read the devs talking about eventually including Air to Air refuelling in their latest FAQ though, so I guess you have to wait for that.

resupply seems to be working as intended, AShMs cannot be reloaded at sea (box launchers) like harpoon or tomahawk, so those will never be resupplied
