Good to know, this was a bug I thought I caught early on but there may have been some regressions in the recent releases. Working on a patch now.

hey, this mod seems to be causing boss and event progress to not work (defeating bosses doesnt register in the game world as done). Not sure if it is some sort of conflict with other mods, but I just spent several hours narrowing it down with my modlist and this was definitely the one that was doing it. Just thought you should know. I have a collection listed with the full modlist if you need it for debugging. Thanks!

this is nice and designed well. getting older i cannot grind for hours and days anymore, so it helps to get things without being too cheaty.

It also seems like the new shimmer system for boss weapon no longer works on event bosses (OOA bosses and Pumpkin/Frost Moon bosses mainly)

@aterrariaPlayer I just pushed a fix for this. Aqua scepter is in Duke Fishron's drop pool in Don't dig up worlds so it was getting lumped in when it wasn't supposed to be.

Is it intended that the Aqua Scepter (the dungeon magic weapon) shimmers into the Flairon? I was just trying to shimmer my Duke Fishron drops to get a Tsunami, and the Tempest Staff shimmered into an Aqua Scepter which shimmered into a Flairon. It happens with a copy from the dungeon as well. I'm playing on a regular world

I do have a lot of mods but I don't think any of them change shimmer recipes, I can try the binary mod test if you'd like me to though

It seems that even in hardmode, I can only request the Gray Zapinator and not the Orange Zapinator. I tried requesting it and it actually sells the Gray Zapinator, leaving me no guaranteed way to obtain the Orange Zapinator.

I think it might be because the Orange Zapinator outright replaces the Gray Zapinator upon entering hardmode, unlike any other of his wares.

Found another couple bugs with requesting from the traveling merchant: When something is requested, it shows up the next time the shop window is opened even if it's the same day, and once the shop window is closed the requested item won't be in it any more when it's reopened.

There is probably a way, but it will require some looking into. For now I've rolled out a patch that includes fishing crates, so all vanilla grab bags are accounted for now

The only aspect of this mod that won't apply to other mods is the boss drop shimmers, since those had to be hard-coded. Everything else should play nicely in theory, except for Dialogue Panel Rework.

Fantastic idea for a mod! I've been having worse and worse luck with every playthrough, so this'll finally offset that. I did notice though, I don't think you can request ultrabright torches from the traveling merchant, and it seems like you left some kind of debug message on for goodie bag style items.

I get why RNG reworking mods straight up give the item 1 per out of X chance because it's the simplest to implement, but I really wish someone would just cap the end of the luck curve instead. The OSRS channel GamecubeJona talks about this type of RNG some.

Basically modern OSRS drops often give you points towards a guaranteed drop every so often, so that the possible longest dry streak is much much more limited. Like instead of being unlucky for hundreds of hours you're unlucky for a dozen at worst, depending on the item.

My issue with the type of system in this type of mod is that for monster you kill often, you will just always get a ton of the drop without having to luck buff. From the wiki: "With a few exceptions, almost all drop rates of items are affected by luck" and this just erases the luck mechanic in essence.

your opener had me a bit skeptical, but this might be the least-intrusive take i've ever seen for a quality-of-life mod - the additions are thoughtful and genuinely fit into the game! don't know if i'm going to use it, but this is good stuff

The pity system should work with enemies from mods, but the chest essence/boss shimmers are vanilla only at the moment.
