I do have a lot of mods but I don't think any of them change shimmer recipes, I can try the binary mod test if you'd like me to though
I think it might be because the Orange Zapinator outright replaces the Gray Zapinator upon entering hardmode, unlike any other of his wares.
Basically modern OSRS drops often give you points towards a guaranteed drop every so often, so that the possible longest dry streak is much much more limited. Like instead of being unlucky for hundreds of hours you're unlucky for a dozen at worst, depending on the item.
My issue with the type of system in this type of mod is that for monster you kill often, you will just always get a ton of the drop without having to luck buff. From the wiki: "With a few exceptions, almost all drop rates of items are affected by luck" and this just erases the luck mechanic in essence.
This works also for modded content or just vanilla?
