Its a bit ironic, that a few weeks after I had started a discussion thread about why it was an extremely "bad" idea to port "Garry's Mod" to mobile, the pop-up QR adverts stopped showing up.(especially after I had mentioned how increasingly aggressive the pop-ups were getting in nature!)

the media player never worked for me but i guess i can whitelist common stuff like youtube, just list the blocked url's here and we'll unblock them

Anyway to add certain addons on a whitelist? I want to use Media Player but this addon blocks it

great work on this. i saw a suspicious addon a few days ago and only looked through the lua script without testing it ingame, so that's what it does, huh. what's even going on with this workshop anymore?

it is already blocked, i simply couldnt mention it in the description because my perm ban doesnt allow me to edit descriptions

btw some of latest addon has very badly obfuscated code that tries to reach wayfarerniece соm domain, block that too i guess

gmod has only one moderator who is also the only developer and maintainer of entire game

people gotta do the work of moderators over incompetency on steam workshop now ?

this guy just filled 13 pages of such addons, is there no stop to this nonsense

others were simply having ai generated description, and believe it or not but the subscriber count shows a fair amount of people falling for them

must be super dumb to fall for addon without screenshots, description, comments and with clickbait title

i witnessed recent uploads vanish the moment i checked the workshop from those sus people, either its them hiding their uploads or things finally sprung into action

I've reported one account to rubat and he banned it, waiting for response on second report

Why bash Rubat? If you properly report it he will act. In the past week I reported 4 accounts, 400+ addons to him and he has deleted all of them from the workshop.

Goat status

Currently there are copied addons in the most recent tab all that seem to be exactly 10.005 MB Perhaps they use the same code. I'm certain you have seen it. Perhaps this addon resolves this issue. I wouldn't know as I don't subscribe to such addons or have taken apart those addons to see.

I do believe facepuch should have others than just Rubat on the Gmod project, considering the workload he is responsible for (its unreasonable amount for a single individual). I believe that is where issues arise. Such as the incredibly inconsistent moderation, lag generation, code that breaks ect, ect. In many ways I believe if Rubat had more people actually helping him properly, many (but likely not all) issues would be resolved. However that would require Facepunch to make those changes at an executive level. Which is an issue

Everyone's forgetting the fact that Valve owns this platform and if people keep reporting on all the addons as fraudulent, malicious and full of spam. At some point it will become unplayable and people are going to report Gmod to the higher-ups at Steam/Valve and try to get it delisted until Rubat can get his head out of his behind.

At least it's better than ROBLOX if you know... Gabe Newell does a better job at handling stuff than David Baszucki.

hellomoto, richard, hentailover, cartigo... etc... i reported every ♥♥♥ and put a clown jester on them... for fake addons, QR codes and suspicious links plus they trying to tell me, if i exit outta the screen they are going to record me... :\ so i uninstall it straight away.

It's always the bad actors that get away scot-free, unfortunately. Thank you for giving us this safety net, Kurome and friends.

there really should be an account lifetime restriction on uploading add-ons - at least a year
this is getting absurd, i can't keep up with the amount of fake accounts to report
