Me encanto, lo único malo, siendo verano tenia poca ropa por el calor, en una tirada de dados, se volvió una tormenta de lluvia al otro día mientras dormía, me dio una gripe y morí.
It seems that there is still no abnormal weather changes after half a month in game time, so it is probably blocked by some other mod(s) I have in my current run. :(
Thank you so very much for all the help, and I will try this awesome mod in my next run! :)
You probably activated the mod outside of it. To do it correctly, enter the normal game. Select the load option. Find your save. Click the "More" button right next to the play button. Use the "Choose mods" option. The list of mods will open. Find the Unseasonal Weather mod. Activate it. Accept and click the Play button.
Only this way will you activate the mod in your old save.
I lanched the game with -debug enabled, but I could never find this debug button. The only thing I find is this icon that looks like a bee under the map button on the left side of the window. After pressing the bee button, I get DEBUG MENU and it has Main and Dev, but neither has Lua.
ChatGPT keeps saying I don't get to debug mode, but I am very sure I didn't type -debug wrong and I restarted Steam. I really don't know how to get to the proper debug mode.
The window you opened (“Command console” / “Current Coroutine”) is the debugger, not the Lua console, so you can’t type commands there. You don’t actually need this for normal play – Unseasonal Weather events will trigger on their own over time.
If you still want to force-start an event for testing:
Launch the game with -debug enabled.
In-game, click the Debug button on the top bar and open the window with the Lua / [>_] console.
Type UW.startEvent() there and press Enter.
The “Command console” tab is only for engine/log output, that’s why your command didn’t work.
My mod uses Sandbox Options, not the in-game Options menu.
You can find the settings here when starting a new world:
New Game → Sandbox → Unseasonal Weather (section at the bottom).
⚠ Important:
If you added the mod after starting your save, the Sandbox settings won’t appear. Project Zomboid doesn’t load new sandbox options into existing worlds unless you use another mod that allows editing sandbox settings in running saves.
If you want to edit the settings in your current world, you’ll need a sandbox editor mod (e.g. “Change Sandbox Options”).
Hope this helps! 😊
If you’ve been playing for about 1 in-game month and never saw any changes, a few things to check:
• Make sure the mod is enabled in the Sandbox options page “UnseasonalWeather” (Enabled = true, Daily Event Chance > 0).
• If you use other weather/climate mods (like “Cold Winters” or anything that constantly overrides temperature/rain), they can overwrite this mod’s events so you won’t really notice them.
• Events are random and some are very subtle (light drizzle, fog, calm days), so they can look like normal weather.
If you want to test it, open the Lua console and run:
UW.startEvent()
You should see log lines like:
“[UW] Clima capturado…” and “Override lluvia/temperatura/etc.”
If those messages never appear, then something else is blocking the mod (version, conflict, or settings). Thanks for the report and for using the mod! 🙂
I added the mod in early December, and now it is January. The weather is just vanilla standard winter.
The rare global events are intentionally kept as a small surprise and part of the identity of the mod. They’re extremely uncommon (about a 1% chance per day), and they don’t affect gameplay balance — they’re just atmospheric moments that make the world feel more alive.
Because of that, they’re not configurable and I prefer to keep them as a built-in “flavor” of the mod.
I’ll probably add or rotate more rare events in future updates to keep things interesting.
Thanks for understanding and for the support! ❤️
I really hope the mod will work since it is very fun to have the weather variations.
