@Zefirus Oh, what bad luck. With this mod, you have to be prepared for rain, heat, snow, and other events.
Zefiruz For 4 timer siden
I loved it, the only bad thing was, being summer I had little clothing because of the heat, in a roll of the dice, it turned into a rainstorm the next day while I was sleeping, I got the flu and died.

Me encanto, lo único malo, siendo verano tenia poca ropa por el calor, en una tirada de dados, se volvió una tormenta de lluvia al otro día mientras dormía, me dio una gripe y morí.

No worries, i chose your mod thank you!
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 3. dec. kl. 16:23
@R o c k y J e t I'm sorry, it's not compatible because both mods use weather events.

Is this compatible with "Cold Winters " Mod? thank you
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 28. nov. kl. 5:55
@maxvmaxvmax Yes.
maxvmaxvmax 28. nov. kl. 5:07
is it safe to remove mid save?
ingridmorgen 28. nov. kl. 2:45
I really hope that I have activated the mod successfully, though so far it has been boring vanilla winter. It would be great that I can get some excting changes in the next season. :)
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 27. nov. kl. 14:15
@cainaazevedoO Incompatible.
cainaazevedoO 27. nov. kl. 12:48
Hi, how does this fare with the Cold winters mod by Jackson Frost
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 27. nov. kl. 2:46
@ingridmorgen At first, you might not notice the changes in the weather because it can be confused with vanilla weather, but then in the next season, you will notice it.
ingridmorgen 27. nov. kl. 1:53
Thanks a lot, MasterGG. I don't use mods much, so I didn't know the way to activate the mods in the old saves. Now the mod is properly activated in my current run.
It seems that there is still no abnormal weather changes after half a month in game time, so it is probably blocked by some other mod(s) I have in my current run. :(
Thank you so very much for all the help, and I will try this awesome mod in my next run! :)
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. kl. 8:11
@ingridmorgen It is not necessary to enter debug mode to use the mod. It works on its own simply by activating it in your list of mods within the game.

You probably activated the mod outside of it. To do it correctly, enter the normal game. Select the load option. Find your save. Click the "More" button right next to the play button. Use the "Choose mods" option. The list of mods will open. Find the Unseasonal Weather mod. Activate it. Accept and click the Play button.

Only this way will you activate the mod in your old save.

Thank you so much for being so patient, MasterGG. :) The debug tools are indeed really confusing!
I lanched the game with -debug enabled, but I could never find this debug button. The only thing I find is this icon that looks like a bee under the map button on the left side of the window. After pressing the bee button, I get DEBUG MENU and it has Main and Dev, but neither has Lua.
ChatGPT keeps saying I don't get to debug mode, but I am very sure I didn't type -debug wrong and I restarted Steam. I really don't know how to get to the proper debug mode.
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. kl. 6:19
@ingridmorgen No worries, the debug tools in PZ are really confusing at first 🙂

The window you opened (“Command console” / “Current Coroutine”) is the debugger, not the Lua console, so you can’t type commands there. You don’t actually need this for normal play – Unseasonal Weather events will trigger on their own over time.

If you still want to force-start an event for testing:

Launch the game with -debug enabled.

In-game, click the Debug button on the top bar and open the window with the Lua / [>_] console.

Type UW.startEvent() there and press Enter.

The “Command console” tab is only for engine/log output, that’s why your command didn’t work.
ingridmorgen 26. nov. kl. 5:31
I tried to test it in my current run. I run the game in debug mode, but I didn't find any window that is called Lua console. There is only this window that is called command console, and after I typed in UW.startEvent(), I got into this big window that is called Current Coroutine where I cannot type anything. I'm pretty lost. :(
Alabeo 26. nov. kl. 5:22
One more question. Does in game Emergency Broadcast System announce any potential weather changes?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. kl. 3:54
@ingridmorgen This is normal — Unseasonal Weather does not appear under Options → Mods. That menu is only for mods that add UI settings.

My mod uses Sandbox Options, not the in-game Options menu.

You can find the settings here when starting a new world:
New Game → Sandbox → Unseasonal Weather (section at the bottom).

⚠ Important:
If you added the mod after starting your save, the Sandbox settings won’t appear. Project Zomboid doesn’t load new sandbox options into existing worlds unless you use another mod that allows editing sandbox settings in running saves.

If you want to edit the settings in your current world, you’ll need a sandbox editor mod (e.g. “Change Sandbox Options”).

Hope this helps! 😊
ingridmorgen 26. nov. kl. 3:41
“UnseasonalWeather” is enabled under Mods at the Main Menu, and I put it to the first under Mod order, but I cannot find it under Options though. There is this Mods sub-option under Options, and I can only see the other mod I have that is Bathtub. I cannot find “UnseasonalWeather” anywhere under Options.

Enjoy
petraspring5 25. nov. kl. 12:19
it's giving me daily heatwaves :/
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 25. nov. kl. 11:43
@ingridmorgen The mod should work fine on an existing save, it doesn’t require a new world.

If you’ve been playing for about 1 in-game month and never saw any changes, a few things to check:

• Make sure the mod is enabled in the Sandbox options page “UnseasonalWeather” (Enabled = true, Daily Event Chance > 0).
• If you use other weather/climate mods (like “Cold Winters” or anything that constantly overrides temperature/rain), they can overwrite this mod’s events so you won’t really notice them.
• Events are random and some are very subtle (light drizzle, fog, calm days), so they can look like normal weather.

If you want to test it, open the Lua console and run:
UW.startEvent()

You should see log lines like:
“[UW] Clima capturado…” and “Override lluvia/temperatura/etc.”

If those messages never appear, then something else is blocking the mod (version, conflict, or settings). Thanks for the report and for using the mod! 🙂
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 25. nov. kl. 11:37
Thank you all very much for your comments and support for the mod
SilverVixen 25. nov. kl. 10:54
ah ok, i understand, keep up the work though as this mod does look great
ingridmorgen 25. nov. kl. 9:18
There is no random events at all for more than a month, though. I have other mods in the run, but no other weather mods.
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 25. nov. kl. 9:06
@SilverVixen It's a total incompatibility because both mods use the same event modifiers to change the weather.
SilverVixen 25. nov. kl. 8:11
ok thank you, is the incompatibility as in the winter weather will be hyjacked by Cold Winters or is it a full incompatibility?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 25. nov. kl. 7:20
@SilverVixen Incompatible.
SilverVixen 25. nov. kl. 6:37
would this be compatible with Cold Winters?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 25. nov. kl. 6:20
@ingridmorgen This mod does not change the vanilla weather, it only adds random events within the vanilla weather in each season of the year.
ingridmorgen 25. nov. kl. 6:07
The mod doesn't seem to work in my current run; is it because I added the mod mid-game?
I added the mod in early December, and now it is January. The weather is just vanilla standard winter.
Titto Hokkaido 24. nov. kl. 14:34
Yay, thx @RedChili; was just wondering the compatibility thing
Chenn 24. nov. kl. 9:54
estas muy skibidi
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 24. nov. kl. 5:23
@V1CeNtE Si, hablo español.
V1CeNtE 24. nov. kl. 5:19
Oh hablas español, me acabo de dar cuenta :steamfacepalm:
V1CeNtE 24. nov. kl. 5:17
oh I understand, you're welcome!
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. kl. 23:48
@V1CeNtE Hi! Thanks a lot for the suggestion 😊
The rare global events are intentionally kept as a small surprise and part of the identity of the mod. They’re extremely uncommon (about a 1% chance per day), and they don’t affect gameplay balance — they’re just atmospheric moments that make the world feel more alive.

Because of that, they’re not configurable and I prefer to keep them as a built-in “flavor” of the mod.
I’ll probably add or rotate more rare events in future updates to keep things interesting.

Thanks for understanding and for the support! ❤️
V1CeNtE 23. nov. kl. 17:02
can you make Rare Global Events optional?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. kl. 11:34
@ingridmorgen Enjoy the RNG :cherrypie:
ingridmorgen 23. nov. kl. 11:30
Thank you, MasterGG. :)
I really hope the mod will work since it is very fun to have the weather variations.
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. kl. 11:23
@ingridmorgen Since you already have a game created, the mod is added with the default settings.
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. kl. 11:22
@ingridmorgen Sandbox options can only be changed when starting a new game. Not in the middle of a game.
ingridmorgen 23. nov. kl. 11:16
I subscribed to the mod and checked the box in my mod list, and then move it to the top of my checked mods list, so it should work even if I added it in mid game right? Or is there something else that I need to do?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 23. nov. kl. 11:00
@ingridmorgen Sandbox options only appear when creating a new game. If you have a mod that allows you to modify sandbox options, it can help you change them.
ingridmorgen 23. nov. kl. 10:36
I added the mod mid-game, but I don't see it in Options. Is it supposed not to be adjusted?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 22. nov. kl. 10:18
@Nabissimo incompatible.
Nabissimo 22. nov. kl. 10:10
does this work with the cold winters mod or do they interfere?
MasterGG  [ophavsmand] 22. nov. kl. 6:20
@RedChili Oh, thank you very much for the clarification about your Realistic Temperature Mod.
RedChili 22. nov. kl. 5:29
@Inverspe Hello! I'm the author of Realistic Temperature Mod, my mod doesn't alter the weather, temperature, or anything in the vanilla climatemanager, it just reads from it, so it will be compatible with this mod.
