Personally I find the original helmets fitting. The purpose for them was fear factor right? If you're some low-rank grunt and a bunch of high-tech elites barge into your station/sub and they look like beasts only mentioned in storybooks and legends (considering the animals depicted are from earth and they sure as heck ain't on Europa) you'd be scared shitless.
