@Joofezille The addon's note system is built to work with MIDI data. The .chart format can't be used directly because the converter tool (tonejs.github.io/Midi) only accepts .mid files.

The intended process is to start with your .mp3 file, convert it to .mid first, and then convert that .mid to the required .json.

Is there any way I can use .chart files instead of .mid?

While swapping the entire model is possible for the third-person view, it wouldn't affect the first-person view. The first-person model is hand-animated, and using a different guitar would require creating a whole new set of animations for it, which is quite complex.

@nard Thanks! To start Hero Mode, open the music selection menu, click the gear/settings icon, and change the mode from "Classic" to "Hero".

This seems to be a local issue. Please try:

• Reinstall the addon completely
• Verify GMod files in Steam (Properties → Local Files → Verify Integrity)
• Check console (F8) for errors when music cuts off

If still not fixed, try clearing your game cache or temporarily disabling other addons to check for conflicts.

@Jijatoro and it applies to your songs too, the original guitar zero addon's songs also do that, maybe you could just make it stop when the audio file ends?

@Jijatoro ok now its even worse for some reason, the custom song stops after like 5 seconds but the animation keeps playing

Thank you for reporting this issue with the music cutting off early! I looked into it, and I believe the problem was caused by the server-side method of determining track length, which could sometimes be inconsistent. @Jijatoro when i first play my custom song, it plays the entire thing, but after that when i play it, it stops after like 20 seconds

Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely plan to update this addon in the future, but it's unlikely that I will add more music directly to it, as it's already quite packed.

However, if I get enough music requests, I might create a separate DLC addon, similar to this one: Guitar Zero: Anime Pack. I'll keep "Drain You" in mind for that potential list!
