I also avoid mods with huglibs dependency, the mod has been unmaintained for a couple of years, the only thing the mod is good for these days is the log publisher, which has spun off into its own mod.

Thanks for clarification. Will see. I dont think it is strictly necessary, so it is possible that i will remove it in the next version

I don't have it, in a modpack of 350 mods. I actually specifically avoid it, as it's known to cause slowdowns and some bugs. It's up to you, of course.

LordBeef21. Does it matter? I mean, many of mods I use have it. If it is important I think I can remove it with some effort. But I'd like to know reasons. It isnt essential, but I treat it as a "free" dependency, because everyone already have it.

HI! Why does this mod now have a dependency on HugsLib?

This mod should have 100 times as many subscribers! I've been begging for a NEI style mod for RimWorld for so long, I'm so happy it's here 🥰

Great mod!

Added "copy DefName" button. And integration with Xml Patch Helper. Dont have a lot experience with it (literally, have just tried), but it looks very useful.

Another great option would be a button to quickly copy the DefName for patching. Just right next to "Copy raw xml"

@averrin Thank you, truly!

ferny, I added settings to hide the main button. You also can call explorer from the settings page.
Hoki, it is my issue. I forgot to change mod list building from ThingDef. And while your mod doesnt have them, it wasnt in the list. Now you can select a def type before. And then you mod should appears in the list
ferny 7. sep. kl. 4:44
@averrin Just a mod option is fine! No need to make it default
Hoki 7. sep. kl. 4:38
i think you just added a fix (more of a bypass) for an issue i had:

my own storyteller didnt show up as a mod in the listing. thanks to adding the "all mods" filter. storyteller is being found just the mod not being detected...

how does the mod read out the other mods for listing? i might have set something up the wrong way on my end.
averrin  [ophavsmand] 7. sep. kl. 4:38
I think it is easy to do, but there is important moment: i dont want to hide it by default because of people who already installed it. But i will definitely add an option to hide it. Do you have a better idea?
ferny 7. sep. kl. 4:23
This is life changing. I really want to include this in my modpack but I'm afriad it's too intrusive for non-developers. Is there any chance we could get a mod option to hide it from the bottom bar, and instead access it through the mod options or something?

Big QoL update.
- Def type filter: browse not only ThingDefs but also Recipe, Research, Gene, PawnKind, Hediff, Trait, Incident, Biome, Terrain, Storyteller, Backstory
- Thing class filter (for ThingDefs): narrow by concrete thingClass
- 'All mods' filter item; per‑mod counts shown in the dropdown
- New footer count: shows shown/total (respects filters)
- XML dialog QoL: non‑blocking, multiple windows allowed, search with yellow background highlight and auto‑scroll to first match
- External integration (Dev Mode): optional button to open the 'XML Document Viewer and Export' mod for the selected Def; falls back to internal viewer when unavailable
- Hover highlight on list items for better readability

definitly will do. :ac6_heart:
averrin  [ophavsmand] 6. sep. kl. 10:33
Actually, i've already implemented it. Enjoy. =)
averrin  [ophavsmand] 6. sep. kl. 10:18
I think not very difficult. One of problems: you cannot click on them to open the info window.
I can show them only in dev mode, for example. And maybe even add settings to manually choosing def types...
If it is usable, i can add a couple of features, np.

kinda an odd question/request (very niche for sure):
would it be possible/much work to load storytellers into this as well?
averrin  [ophavsmand] 6. sep. kl. 10:04
Yeah, some mods' descriptions dont say how their additions named, what researches are required, etc. That is why a created this mod.
Here is another useful one: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3561361253

OkagrimGaming 6. sep. kl. 9:36
