I wonder if its possible to do this with planets that are replacements as well.
Cheers!
Extract the 355768668.sbm(may download this file http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/view/355768668 ) with 7zip (or liking zip tool) and copy the 'Textures\BackgroundCube\Final\BackgroundCube.dds' into ...steam..common\SpaceEngineers\Content\Textures\BackgroundCube\Final (overwirte the file).
To restore the original just "repair" you local files.
Is there a way to make this the default skybox? I play in a server which uses the default skybox, so, I was wondering if its possible to replace the stock one on my game files with yours.
Thanks in advance!
But for Simulation Fans exsists also now a "real light version". Check it out: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=526499176
Far better to have multiple smaller mods, instead of one doing several jobs - for exactly this reason.
If you want me to add you to the people that made it since all I did was alter the data file then add me to your freinds list.
Maybe run the game as "Administrator" and see if it will stay black or not.
The texture is real high resolution. Maybe you have not eneught space in the graphic card memory. Try to use medium or low settings for texture.
I really hate when people release a skybox only to mess it up with a speed mod.
Thanks for the info! Now to just wait for them to make steam skybox mods actually work with DX11 then and I can update my server's Skybox =D
Cheers!
The hugh HDR in SE make the gama balancing for the DX11 skybox image difficult.
I've been trying to use the texture converter Keen provided but it seems to refuse to compress the images with an error saying "The parameter is incorrect".
If you looking to an white roof top, the stars will maybe blend out....but lates if you look into an empty sky you should see somethings...
