Guards for me have a method that allows pawns to escort other pawns.

Guards for Me doesn't seem to offer a pawn following method, and Guarding Pawn does seem to offer a pawn following method, however, in a seemingly more complicated way than this mod.

Might be outside of the scope of this mod, but it'd be awesome if you could make it so they also cater to prisoner's and incapacitated people's needs. Like, take them out for a walk/carry them out for some fresh air and such.

The followers are undrafted, but the target may be drafted. Drafted is not helpful anyway, as they already are able to fight without being drafted. I'm not aware of the auto combat mod.

Another great use for ghouls. I'll use them for the first time in my Imperial Guard playthrough.
They get to be our arcoflagellants and combat servitors, and guard whomever needs most guarding.

@CzeslawMucha I think the mod "WVC - Work Modes" has similar feature. There's an "assign to escort" button which I believe lets you choose which colonist the mech follows, instead of only the mechanitor that controls it. You can see the button on image #5.

There is a mod to make guards but sometimes you just don't want to mess with an options tab and just want a pawn to just follow another.
Simple and straight to the point. This is an instant forever mod.
