Whilst barely fitting into TF2’s time frame I don’t think the AH-1 fits at all with the game’s visual style, it has rivets arbitrarily slapped all over it to fit but it just doesn’t, it’s far too sleek.

Something like the UH-1 or KA-25 and their boxier looks would’ve fit much better alongside the standard mvm tanks.

What I mean is there's nothing inherently robotic about this from it's design? The MvM tanks don't resemble an actual military tank 1-1 for example you know? It doesn't look something only Gray Mann himself could up with.

Functionality wise it's different enough from the blimps to be quite a challenging addition for Gray Manns ranks. I just wish the design wasn't straight up just a helicopter

Like the tanks it's still technically a robot! You can be a bit more flexible with how it appears, it doesn't have to look like the actual Helicopter model you've based it on.

This helicopter is based on The AH-1 SeaCobra / SuperCobra which had its first flight in 1969.

A 2000 made Helicopter set in the 1970s.....

Doesn't look robotic enough, maybe if you changed the cabine for like a sensor or something like the one the MvM tank has on the top it could make more sense or if you take inspiration from the new chopper drones.

Fun fact: you do get killed if you attempt to land on the blades!

Mechanic idea: You can't stand on it properly, because blades will just shred you.

This thing is so incredibly cool. This could even be expanded upon by making a version which works as a forward spawn point. Imagine Base Jumper Soldiers parachuting out of a helicopter with the Air Strike. Terrifying!
You could also attach other weapons to give it variation, like miniguns or sentry quad-rockets.

What does the hitbox on this thing look like? I do wonder how easy it is to shoot, as even Blimps sometimes feel a bit hard to shoot at depending on the class and how much you can be juggled by ground robots.

I would like to see the destruction/death animation, as that doesn't seem to be included in the YouTube video. The bomb drop animation looks awesome though.

i think the issue is that it looks too recognizably modern, even if it is from the mid-60's. it's funny how both this and the Huey were both made by Bell around the same time period

I agree deleting criticism isn't good practice, but when you're doing that to deliberately pester creators by making destructive comments about how poor quality their work is, that they should give up, and that their only reason is to just make money, not for the purpose of being passionate for the game. It's just being an toxic tyrant that point. Also creating alts to circumvent a block, just shows that you can't deal with the consequences of your own words and actions, it's pretty weird behaviour.

I think the reason it looks so modern is the fact that it was still in service until 2020 and it hasn't changed in appearance enough to where it looks that different at first glance
