FYI a workaround for new saves is to make a new character and paste the new map_sand.bin (or whatever the windows sandbox file is) over your existing save's map_sand.bin file. You can edit day length this way as well.

Sorry, my bad, Events.OnInitGlobalModData is what you should use to get sandbox variables.

If you read the sandbox settings on a different trigger (ie Events.OnGameBoot) it will work for existing saves too.

@RunYouCleverBoy - what rarity are you thinking of? Loot chance - that should be done by general loot settings

@Black_moons - disposable lighters are on my to-do list. Real life's been busy AF lately, so no ETA. Regarding the sandbox settings - can't replicate, besides the things already mentioned in the description

@Nord - seems you need to do some troubleshooting, as it sounds like a mod messing something up somewhere

Would it be possible to add uses to sacks of sand, dirt, and gravel? I haven't seen any mods like this for B42 yet, and think that expanding could be nice

I seem to have the opposite problem where all of my lighters and matches have infinite fuel, so they never run out... I was hoping this mod would fix that but no dice. Anyone know what might be causing my lighters and matches to never run out?

Sandbox settings don't seem to do anything. Reguardless of sandbox settings I get '[MoreUses] Applying MaxLighterUses = 100, MaxMatchesUses = 20' in my log.

Killer. Always irked me how the character goes through lighters like they don't know how to light a cigarette and every matchbook having so few matches. Especially considering the situation they're in and/or the smoker trait, you'd think they'd already know about a lighter's longevity

@seronis - the number of uses left are already random - just like vanilla.
The values set on sandbox settings are just the max "available".

Matchboxes are, agreed higher than 20 where I'm from as well - but according to info gathered, these US style matchbooks are normally 20... And the lighters - I went with a zippo lighter, which average burn time according to research is 10-15 minutes = 80-100 uses/cigarettes. And they match the ability to refill etc.

Matchboxes tend to come in boxes of exactly 32 or 50 matches with 32 being more common. And a normal sized BIC lighter (not the mini ones) on low flame setting will burn for 3 hours which is listed at a couple thousand uses. Its still a few hundred for people who use high flame setting.

Any way you could make them so when found they have a random number of uses left up to those max values?
