Maybe instead of so many rocks I will try to use the rock texture instead and only a few actual rocks. I am working on a map right now but again it has a lot of rocks and is 800x800 so I'll be interested to hear how that goes lol.
It's hard to tell what cause the lag most, is it certain textures or is it accumulative and even too much grass shrubs etc. I have no idea.
Have you tried playing on my other maps, Crusader Hill has less rocks and vegetation than this one, do you still get lag on it?

I don't play multiplayer so i wouldn't have known, doesn't make sense for them to make these massive maps and more sprite if its going to lag players so badly. And this isn't even the biggest map size either. Judging from how angry they make you I'm guessing you have been putting up with their crap for a long time too XD
