- Added proper Romanian headgear
- Added proper Soviet marine and paratrooper headgear
- Added more cover for attackers on mission 7 and 10
- Added Romanian recon squads
- Added Soviet Roks-3 flamethrower teams to missions 9 and 15
- Added TB-3 transport for soviet paratroopers
- Added AVT-40 to Soviet NKVD and marine squads
- Added RPG-40 AT grenade to Soviet AT squads
Result: As defenders the missions starts out very slow spending almost an hour taking pot shots at enemies in the distance, until enough of my (the player) friendly squads get wiped and they you’re frantically running from objective to objective because only I (the player) can spawn in friendly squads.
Potential solutions:
-more cover in the form of foliage or rocks for Romanians to spawn behind
-Put Romanian spawns closer to the objectives so that they can actually reach them without being mown down from a distance
-Reduce the number of objectives to 2-3 to avoid the spawning options (assuming it’s not a bug)
Sorry for the wall of text, it really is a great campaign and I’ve really enjoyed playing it so far!
1. Romanian spawns are too far from objectives. This leads to only one or two squads popping up at a time and slowing the mission down.
2. Not enough cover for attackers. This means the one or two squads that do show up get mown down as soon as they show up, further slowing down the mission.
3. Too few defender reinforcements. I’ve noticed this on Resumed Offensive, Taking Nikolaev and Yashuoka’s attack (Khalkin Gol) as well. Once all other friendly defender squads are eliminated, I (the player) am the only the who can spawn in friendly squads. So my (the player) squads ends up having to defend 4 objectives alone. I’ve noticed this on other mods as well so it may be a bug with the map/mission editor.
- Added a new mission depicting Sofronovs breakout attempt.
- Added new Soviet uniforms.
- Changed PPD34/38 spawns to a mix a PPD40s and PPShs (34/38 mod deleted)
- Changed 61-k spawns to quad Maxim. (61-k mod deleted)
- Fixed Mannlicher M95 equipped troops having incorrect ammo.
- Various balance tweaks.
- Changed All PPD40s to 34/38s as the AI seemed pretty OP with them.
-Added Romanian R2 tank.
