@Marcowarrio Since the fire rate mechanics for the vanilla environment aren't finished yet, and the next mod to be released will likely be the ADATS anti-air/anti-tank system for CE (Combat Extended) — which requires integrated missile and cannon capabilities, both usable for air defense (it's a fixed turret, as SmashPhil's slow updates make us hesitant to rush into developing anti-air vehicles) — lower-priority infantry weapons have been put on hold for now.

I like 4.73x33mm caliber because pawns can carry a ton of ammo. 4.73x33mm is also relatively less lethal for downing enemy pawns for capture. Only another mod named Rimsenal Core Greydale weapons uses 4.73x33mm as far as I know.

i wouldn't worry about "odd design choices" slipping in. G11 program is defined by its odd design choices.
