@bamboocarpet Thats quite annoying and there is a workaround: Go to the config file in your mod-folder, open the "XComContent.ini" folder and scroll down to "ARMS". In the end of each line you can see 'CharacterTemplate="Soldier" '. Delete the word "Soldier" in each line (only the word, not the quotes) so you have the following: CharacterTemplate="". Save and exit. Done.
