I may also rebalance the opinion weights to be stronger, though I can already see the obvious problems with that. The player will go into every war completely unified, while the AI will not. Because the AI in this game is just terrible, as is the balancing of almost everything. In fact, I am remembering why I don't have much interest in playing anymore haha.

No but that is a very good suggestion. Currently each set of vassals only take into account their opinion of their liege. Whenever I come back to this game, I will add in how they feel about the enemy.

Nye, I understand your 100 opinion situation. Does your mod take into account those same vassals and the enemy's opinion?

The 100 opinion situation is unfortunate, I placed a higher emphasis on traits as opposed to opinion because at some point, the whole realm is basically 100 opinion at all times.

The second one is a bug. This mod needed more time in the oven which I haven't given it since I haven't played in months

I have two questions about your mod:

Every time I fight an external war, a group of vassals with 100 opinion choose to betray me. Is this unavoidable?

When I am a vassal and declare war on my liege, an event window pops up asking me if I want to support my liege in the war I started. Is this a possible bug?

Seems I may have encountered a bug, I am the King of England and a vassal of the HRE. Several other vassals declared a war of independence against ERE and I chose to join them. It says I am at war, but all the other armies are grey and I can't siege any of their castles.

It might be a conflict because I am also the emperor's ally, though.

That should do it. Fixed by disabling the -75% levies given by bannermen. I will properly add this back in once I'm playing the game again.

Weighing obedience would probably help a bit, though I don't imagine it would fix it entirely. The only way to do it, I think, would be to disable the feature for the Khan entirely. To be honest though, there probably won't be a "fix" for this any time soon as I'm just not playing

As others have said, this mod really messes with the Mongol invasion, as the Khan is battling half of his own empire every time he tries to invade a new enemy. I don't really know how you'd fix this, aside from maybe weighting characters with high obedience to be much less likely to side with the enemy?

That's interesting, I actually haven't done a full playthrough with this yet. I made it and then pretty much went on a CK3 break, so I probably won't be playing / coding for a bit. I'm open to expanding on it at some point though. Perhaps not factions, since this mod doesn't really touch factions at all, but I could see a situation where you spend a hook to ensure a certain vassal joins a war on your side.

Will you consider making strong hooks prevent vassals from joining factions against their liege? Additionally, this mod causes the Mongol invasion’s Great Khan hard to conquer new lands. In the late game, nearly every campaign triggers civil war within the Mongol Empire. I witnessed the Great Khan march into persia, and battle in his own territories for over two decade.

I would suggest adding civil wars as a game rule perhaps. I think civil wars dragging the whole realm into them is the most fun part of MIV

The event will trigger for the player on civil wars, but the AI won't join during one. I could always change this though.

I really love more interactive vassals but it does kill the responsiveness of my game after a certain point, and I was strongly considering if I remove it or just live with it when I saw this.

Looks like it has most of what I love about IMV and will hopefully be a little gentler on my frame rate. Thanks :)
