it replaces everything with it's own content, including wulfrum and crabulon. you are not able to fight base calamity crabulon with fables enabled.
however fables does not balance itself around calamity, with base calamity enabled you are likely able to completely steamroll all fables bosses and enemies.

ah, good to know. i figure it works with simple things like the wulfrum stuff, which aside from a few retextures, is exactly the same, but what about crabulon for example? is fabulon (that's what i'm gonna call fables crabulon from now on) gonna replace crabulon? or is it possible to fight both variants with the two mods enabled?

calamity fables does replace base calamity's with it's own content.
it is not recommended, though, support is technically there.

yea i played calamity fables, great mod, but i need to replay it with no other mods, i had used the rpg stats mod that came out recently, and it made crabulon too easy. i really love the expansion on the wulfrum part of calamity, i wish some of the things from fables could make it to calamity, but alas, it's a standalone mod. it'd be nice to see calamity do what spirit did where you can use fables with calamity, and it just gets rid of the duplicated things, like spirit and spirit reforged, but aside from that: all great mods. final question: have you considered doing a few alt themes for some biomes? there's the alt day and the alt underground, since those are 2 biomes you'll be in pretty often, so having 2 unique songs for them gets rid of the repetitiveness, but really thinking about it, i don't think any other biomes need a 2 song treatment, but i'm not sure.

@[PlaceHolder] corrupt jungle was something made with salvati for the starlight river mod (along with hallow plantera), although I do not believe those ideas will be expanded upon as I do not believe they will be implemented in the mod. the answer is no, to more special biome themes for corrupt biomes.
Calamity Fables will probably be more of your thing than base calamity due to it not having sweeping gameplay changes, and expanding upon vanilla, in a, less forceful way.
Spirit reforged is about capturing the soul of terraria, that sense of wonder and discovery, and most importantly, fun. it asks people to slow down and be observant of the slim but very thoughtful slices of content.

that's fair, terraria's music is pretty good at being what it is. for spirit reforged, i'm excited to see more added to the mod, which is funny since i never played the og spirit mod, i might some day. going back to your 27 minute archive video, you had a corrupted jungle theme in there, are you considering doing world evil themes for all the biomes? because honestly that'd be amazing, but i do understand if that'll never happen, there ARE lots of biomes, but it'd really do wonders when it comes to adding that wonder that the main dev of spirit reforged said he liked about terraria. i'm just happy to see mods that don't try to completely change and add stuff to the game that over time gets too complicated, like calamity (don't get me wrong, calamity is awesome, but it almost feels like it throws everything that makes terraria what it is out the window), spirit reforged is really just a great example of this, it adds more to terraria, while keeping it, terraria

[PlaceHolder] I won't be doing every track in the game, because I believe nearly every song in the game explores what is needed, I would just be doing terraria songs, but worse, unless i had something truly novel to add or believe that i could create something more fitting.
e.g something like ocean explores everything I'd want and don't wish to replace it.
but songs like deerclops or duke fishron where the tracks are a tad underbaked and ill-fitting, I could possibly make alternate themes for.
But you should pay attention to spirit reforged/spirit music mod as I am doing stuff like town themes for various biomes, as well as overhauling existing night themes and such.

@Sbubby your music is simply amazing. I've been a terraria fan since i discovered what it was (around the time just before relogic began to retexture everything and make the game feel more modern, watching the goblins from the goblin army get completely overhauled was very shocking and equally welcoming), and ever since i discovered your music (first song i heard from you was the skeletron prime theme, ironically NOT thru playing the spirit mod), i've just been in love. I don't know how, but your songs feel almost more terraria-like than terraria's existing music. I only give you this paragraph to inspire you to do 1 thing: don't stop. keep expanding this pack, make your own alt themes to ALL the terraria songs. keep up the good work sbubby

If this is respondable, could this also include the alt Avatar of Emptiness themes? I really like the idea of the themes and found out how they could be looped without the intros butchering them during the fight.
