I would like to know if it is possible to run different mods on different servers, or if the mod lists have to be identical.
How does this work with different maps, for example? Does anyone know?
Because if I load a map mod, does it also count as a regular mod? The other servers wouldn’t need that one.

@yf_04 i wasn't talking about placing points in the init.c. i was talking about certain maps having custom code that conflicts with other maps when you use maplink. for instance, takistan plus has custom weather code that gets broken with maplink. hashima.gg places objects down that can be seen on other maps with maplink. fogfall has bosses and other custom objects placed that show up on other maps. deerisle completely breaks every other map with maplink. it looks fixable but i dont have the skill to write a universal init.c and missionserver.c script that works with all maps.

Daemonforge is the original creator. this is the same but updated so no warnings or errors show up in your logs.

@Terry Lava You do not need to use the init.c file. You can use VPP to place travel points—just ensure the coordinates match those in the JSON file of the API. You can even use VPP to modify travel points in real time without restarting the server.

some maps just aren't compatible with maplink. usually the init.c or missionserver.c has some custom code that cause bugs.

So if you want to install Maplink on a server using the Expansion mod, the only option is to remove "@DayZ-Expansion-Spawn-Selection" and give up custom spawn points, loadouts, and territory respawns.

MAPLINK MOD - INVENTORY LOSS BUG

ISSUE:
Players spawn fresh (lose items) when transferring from AoD to NH via guide,
but NH → AoD works fine.

REPRODUCE:
1. On NH server: collect items
2. Use guide to transfer to AoD → ✅ Works (spawn with items)
3. On AoD: use guide to transfer back to NH → ❌ BROKEN (spawn fresh)

LOGS SHOW:
AoD (05:30:15):
- UApiDoTravel: TransferPoint = "toskadovsk2"
- SavePlayerToUApi: Server=NH TransferPoint=toskadovsk2 ✅
- Redirect after 500ms delay

NH (05:30:31):
- API Load: TransferPoint = "toskadovsk2" ✅ (loaded correctly)
- BUT: m_TransferPoint is EMPTY when spawning ❌
- Player spawns fresh

ROOT CAUSE:
TransferPoint gets cleared between API Load and player spawn.
Race condition or timing issue causes m_TransferPoint to be empty
despite API loading it correctly.

WHY ASYMMETRIC:
- NH → AoD: Works perfectly
- AoD → NH: Broken (fresh spawn)

Only happens when using guide/conductor. Auto-redirect works fine.

A couple of your mods are affected. Others download perfectly fine (e.g. 3395555163).
Maybe some of them were hit with a DMCA takedown for some reason?

I'm also having this problem: the travel terminal isn't showing up.
Everything is configured according to the instructions.
The log file shows all registrations are working correctly, but the terminal isn't showing up.

I attempted to link the banov and chernarus maps. On both maps, the ships were successfully generated. However, when approaching the ships, there was no option to interact with them. I have no idea what went wrong.

@hightech you can save the guidi to the player object when maplink is saving other data. Used this method before with dog tags and other plugins. I can look for what I used in the past and post an example.

when working with the expansion mod, it turns out to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, namely, in the expansion mod, the player authorization system on the server is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. each player has a steam ID and a guidi. The joke is that the steam ID is permanent and the guidi is constantly changing when a new database is created on the server and one steam ID with constant new database generation will have a new guidi if there was a steam ID binding, you could port everything to different servers, or if you somehow asked them to redo the guidi binding to steam ID, this would solve the problem... but in this scenario, the mod development team will have an eruption of ♥♥♥♥ in the anus because it was done on purpose =))

It works with modded maps, but some maps modify files that affect all servers. sadly it's some of the best maps. their missionserver.c file usually is modified. I dont know much about coding but it seems like you would have to make a missionserver.c that had case files for each map, but thats beyond my skill.

maps that don't need modification to work: chiemsee, zaha, melkart, pripyat, takistanplus, sakhal, bitterroot, livonia, nukezone, pnw

maps that have modifications to files that will affect each other: fogfall(placed bosses), deerisle(fcking everything), namalsk (weather), hashima(placed objects)

What's the new DB entry required for this?

Added "admin" UID/SteamID list to MapLinkConfig DB for allowing server admins to skip the redirect process

got it figured out in all the jsons make sure to change the ip 127.0.0.1 to the ip of your machine everything works great now thank you zen for this an Daemonforge for providing it

@Zenarchist When you travel to another server while carrying a photo from your treasure mod, the mod doesn't remember whether the photo was read or not, and so it can be recycled over and over using the map link. Can you suggest a fix for this?

ok so the mod seems to have broke the item used for the travel to other servers does not give the prompt to select another server everything else appears to be working but the prompt does not showup

first a temp fix was, kill the player and fresh after spawn he could travel - but this stopped working after a few times. I personally have no errors when traveling. Dont know if its MapLink or your Sleepmod

Hi Zen. I would like to know if the problem of transferring diseases from TerjeMedicine has been fixed? Since in previous versions, when switching between maps, all diseases were reset. And could you also adapt the mod with his TerjeStartScreen mod?
When switching to another map, just a dark screen with the inscription loading.
Could you contact Terje and discuss this, he is a sociable person and it would be great if you find a solution to these problems.
