When you place an alien power cell into the submarine editor, you need to change the tags of the item to "coilgunammo,coilgunequipment" when clicking on an item and looking at its properties. You also have to make sure the "Invulnerable to Damage" condition is checked under its properties. Then you need to save the item as an item assembly (the save button shows up in the top left of the screen when clicking on the alien power cell). Then, when clicking on the coilgun loader in the submarine editor, you need to find the item assembly in the object selector and drag it into the coilgun loader. However, this can only be done in the submarine editor, and cannot be changed in game.

Yo, how'd you get the alien power cell into the coilgun loader? Game doesn't seem to think that's allowed when I try. Would love to use it, it's pretty neat

also, is the buoyancy of the ship supposed to be a little low? as when we drive straight forward the ship kinda sinks down instead of holding straight. Otherwise i love the ship C:

just so you know, there is a random supercapacitor outside the sub on the north west side

This is what you want in a teir 1 sub. Lots of weak points, some decent gun placement to make it bearable (if you get the 3rd gun), only a fabricator, no med or deconstructor. Lots of detail in this sub. Layout isnt optimized but it works decently. All this gives you a reason to upgrade to a teir 2 when you get to the point. This is the ideal tier 1 if you are playing with friends
