Why do I have to restart every single time I want to change something in the gear settings?

For example;
I changed
"Max Speed"
of "Gear 2"
located in "VCMod > Personal > Sounds"
for the first time from "0.25" to "0.50"

Now, I want to do the same thing but instead to "0.50", I want to change it to "0.60" but it operates as "0.50".
And no, "0.50" and "0.60" are far from close to each other, since the limit in my script for this thing is "1".
It's annoying because it takes 10 mins to load a new game, (if you have a solution for that, please tell me, It'd help a lot,) every single time I want to reset the settings.
