Could you make the Auxiliary CPU Cores (from Salvage Drone Swarm Processor) more powerful?

Compared to CPU Extender (Quantum), they are very weak.

@lucckey1: Ah, that's an issue in-game, not just AdA-2. You need both EAC enabled and to be playing multiplayer, otherwise scripts don't update. If you want to play with scripts, I suggest you create a local multiplayer game, that way you can play solo with scripts that work.

understandable,just thought i would ask,if it wasent for RE and ad astra i wouldnt still be playing,the devs havent done much with the vanilla game,not much content,the vanilla is still like early access,the devs should pay you and RE team to finish there game,loving your mod!

Excuse me sir, just seen this mod. Been looking to get back into Empyrion, i hate being wiped. In fact i quit last time I logged in and found the server wiped...

This is exactly what I wanted, the artificial forced hours of grind in RE2 is not for me anymore, RE2 with increases resource gathering speed (like no mans sky) is what I needed.

Does your community host a multiplayer server for ADA2? Seems people would be interested.

I am LEGIT offering (if you don't have one) to pay for hosting a server (host havoc) or whatever you recommend, which you would have full control over. It is your mod and your vision. You might feel no one wants multiplayer ADA 2... but I would and maybe others! I like the option to be able to team up sometimes, and just because it is multiplayer doesnt mean you cant play totally solo if you want.

@Holy Fool Sehrael: Depends. There's actually several types of shields also used by enemy POIs. I think you can get away with just changing the ones applicable to your CVs without also doing the same for enemy/POI shields.

Access range, you can use the wireless blocks (there's three tiers, each increases distance). Otherwise, I *think* it's hardcoded, but I'd have to look more deeply into this.

If I edit the shields we can install on our ships - does that affect enemy ships too? I'm looking for a way to practically make ships indestructible through shields (and bases) because that's just what I want ^^

@Three Strikes As I said, this would make all admin cores destructible, so it would be possible to bork important missions by destroying those mission POIs too.

@Distrann: Ooh, awesome. Yeah, I can't do much about multicores, but this is a change that I can do. Lemme do some testing first, so no promises on this being a thing by next release, but I'll try to.

@EverLoyal_001: So, the crew limit is also set in BlockGroupsConfig.ecf. I bet if you make the change there, you'll be good to go on that.

A full limit removal would be out of scope for AdA, but I can show you how to do local changes for it!

I found a problem now, I can't actually turn off blocks/devices limit, even I already set it to "False" in Settings before I start a new game,

sir can you please tell me how to completely turn off blocks/devices limit? I wanna add more weapons on ship especially, the question 3 will not be a problem if we can turn off limits.:steamsad:

Oh and I forgot to say, ofc this is global, so if I do this and play like a sledgehammer, I destroy my missions, this is why admin cores exist.

Hmm as much as I like RE2, the admin cores in all the abandoned buildings and the resulting repetetive playthrough made me go away from it.
Because of this, at least in SP I made the admin cores all destructible for my game:
I opened the BlocksConfig.ecf in the scenario folder under this path: \Content\Configuration
Then hit Strg + F and entered: IsDestructible
that quickly let me find this entry:
# NPCAdminCore
underneath there was this line:
IsDestructible: false
I changed the line to:
IsDestructible: true
then saved the file.

That did the trick for me.

i know man i am just getting bummed with the game its been my favorite for ten years but so much has changed and so much has not changed if you get my drift. my first steam account i have 3k+ hrs in this game. i appreciate you and all the other modders im just to old to learn that kinda stuff and i am a monkey humping a football when it comes to technical pc stuff. and i do like to escape the real world at times to get a break from the grinding stress from the real world so i understand.

@Maxfaith77: I know. Believe me, I know. The issue is that I'm just one person with a full-time job, doing higher education stuff, having a social life and stuff, and doing a lot of travel for work. This would be a rework of literally every major POI and CV, testing it, and ensuring that future RE2 updates play well with these updates as well. It's...a lot of work that I just cannot do right now.

If the community wants to do it and incorporate it in to AdA (whether we bring it into AdA, or we port AdA into a new mod with these changes), I'd be more than happy to support it how I can.

I just can't do it alone, y'know?

@EverLoyal_001: Thank you for the kind words! Here's yer answers:

1. Nope. Only when I mention it in the update - I will always make sure to leave a message here when the updates happen.
2. This one, you're gonna have to give me a REALLY good argument for, because we have devices that offset energy expenditure (turbines - both wind and plasma, and aux CPU cores). I can get a CV to go into negatives (especially with increased RTG drop rate).
3. I can probably do that for the next update!
4. It's actually RE2b35, I just wrote 33 because I was really tired and not paying attention to that lmao

does anyone know of a overhaul mod that has admin cores inactive? hell at this point i would be happy with it being vanilla overhaul as long as the admin cores are not an issue. it boggles the mind as to why would anyone want to make the game to were everything is a exact repeating maze of the same poi. it adds no unexpected excitement to a different play through not even slightly different.
