Yous are better off just using default game settings for sprinters and deactivate the mod until its fixed (hopefully). Never had any bugs with default sprinters but eventually the mod will bug out and you'll end up with random sprinters outside the active time periods.

There are still random sprinters during the day with this mod regardless of the time that's been set for them to be active... Is there a fix?

Having an issue with the sprinters NOT reverting in the daytime.. the issue is not resolved until you disable the mod completely

The default setting will make daytime zombies very slow. The slowest. With horrible memory and all that stuff. I just want fast shamblers during the day with normal hearing and whatnot, but at night I want sprinters with eagle vision, high toughness and good memory. Making them way better at night. But also it respects better time rules. Vanilla does like 8pm to 8am regardless of season. This mod allows you to adjust for actual day and night hours instead of robbing you of 4-5 hours of sunlight every summer day.

Mod is currently bugged.

Night Sprinters have the following:

Site: Eagle
Hearing: Pinpoint
Speed: Sprinter
Toughness: Strong

These changes happen at night and currently there is an issue where everything will stay on those and not revert back to the original settings.

You can already make the game have night sprinters.. whats the point of using a mod for it?
Just set zombie speed to sprinter and set zombie activity to night, its what i do? is there something mods for it do thats better?

Mod is broken. It works like the Angles in DR who. They are sprinters when NOT looking at them. The mod confuses line of sight with night time. This could be cool if that was the point.

Unfortunately, there are still conflicts with the Ultimate Helicopter Event [B42]: if the helicopter was flying at night and the game crashed, then in the morning all the zombies start running. And then the game starts crashing to the main menu every time if you try to load during the helicopter event

Should I leave the initial Zombie Behavior settings at default when creating a new game? I added this to a playthrough (a few game days old) that already had about 40% sprinters (I'm sure I had it on more active at night too). I see some odd behavior, like they shamble a little, maybe jog for a second, stop... in all sorts of random variety. I mean, it's kind of nice having them so much more unpredictable but wanted to understand this mod more.

They also have a tendency of running during the day as well (besides the odd decision making that I mentioned previous). Anyhow I'm trying to accomplish total anarchy at night and some light sprinters during the day to keep me on my toes.

Would like compability with Random Zombies, so that during day Random Zombies is activated and during night this! I've tried putting this mod after Random Zombies and during night they don't sprint

Thanks to an idea from Revive Bolt Hater, I've added a feature that varies the Sprinters' Night start and end times depending on the month. This feature can be enabled or disabled through Sandbox Options or the (Change) Sandbox Options mods.

@ Revive Bolt Hater Actually that's a very good idea to have sprinter times vary with the changing seasons. One issue, though, is that in winter, when it's already harder to find food, the sprinter times might need to be longer, which could result in a double punishment. Let's think this through further.

Thank you so much, its a lovely tune its just loud and lasts too long for my liking :D I suspect its sandbox options mod not doing its job and not actually your mod having issues. I started a new game since a horde of sprinters wandered into the house i was cowering in and ate me, and i started with the alarm display off and it hasn't popped up.

@🔰 @vtsfly @Red Rocket.TTV Conversion or reversion failures shouldn't occur because those algorithms have nothing to do with distance or vision. They simply affect all zombies currently in, or newly entering, the active chunk and cell area based on the vanilla game engine. Although theoretically there's a very rare chance that one or two zombies might slip through during the iteration algorithm itself's own delay.

oh, also, unticking enable alarm display doesnt work. the bar still comes up. i set a watch alarm for that i am legend-esque immersion but that happened. unsure if it doesnt work when you do that in initial settings, i used sandbox options mod to turn it off.

I also noticed that, I went for an evening walk for fun and when i found a horde they were just slowly shambling towards me. though once they were close they all turned into sprinters lol the next morning most of them i saw were back to normal, but there was still a fair few sprinters and i have sprinters on 0 by default

l think only zombies close to me turns to sprinters or back to normal. Thats why sometimes there are sprinters past 6 am or no sprinters past 8 pm. This is more noticible when you are by car.

sometimes it seems that some of the zombies stay sprinter even in the morning when they should be normal again. not all of them though and not always. i think this mostly influences zombies that are outside of my vision chunk but still not too far away, if that makes sense.

is this mod compatible with "Random Zombies"? as in during the day the zombies would be influenced by the "Random Zombies" mod but in the nighttime they would all be sprinters and in the morning they would return to being "Random" again?

@Bogolist Yes, that's correct. In the last update there's an added feature that automatically disables the Ultimate Helicopter Event mod if any enabled in the game. To apply this update, please unsubscribe and then resubscribe. You can use the Hellish Helicopter Event mod as an alternative. I'm still looking into a better way to handle this conflict.
