i mean, the first reason is mostly covered by the retail prison guards
i do understand the second one though, nova prospekt was a pain in the ass

the prison guards are orange because 1. they're prison guards, they don't need to blend in 2. they're easier to see during the nova prospekt chapters, which was always an issue for me and 3. there wasn't really anything else that fit their aesthetic

i like these more than the newer ones because they look like they're actually trying to camoflage with their environment, if only there was a skin that made the prison guards not look like they're wearing those inflatable vests you find in airplanes
