it felt really smacky to hear in game. and satisfying, for an example, to deadstop a jockey with that, so I have it like that.
and sometimes when you shove infected, their body collision will shove other infected, which may fit with glass breaking sound effect. more variety? if you don't feel like it fits, my apologies
if it's the first two, I understand, and probably will do something about it when able. an idea is to keep this addon intact in case anyone likes this version better, and make a duplicate one, that has been trimmed. if it's the third, that can't be an issue of the addon... if it works for me, then it should work for everyone. unless some other addon takes priority over this one.
how come you didn't have zombie shoves at first, but then they appeared as should? what did you do?
try moving the workshop addon to "addons" folder, if it's working only half way to you. it's name should be 3434642680.
maybe the sounds are just quiet, and not distinct enough. I've had the same suspicion about survivor shoves not working at first, when I was troubleshooting. but after listening a bit more carefully, I could hear the AAHW's "Huh?" though they are indeed quiet.
a distinctive feature about the mod's survivor shove, with which you can probably tell the difference if you listen, is how it has lower quality than the original sound. there really isn't much difference between original l4d2 survivor shoves and this. just the addition of barely noticeable AAHW alerts.
does the addon conflict with any other addon that you might have installed prior? the addon list chooses the addon priority by which was installed first. so if it's placed higher than this addon, it might overlap.
to change that priorty, you can find addonlist.txt in "left4dead2" folder. open it (preferably with something like notepad++, so that you can see it lined up better), and simply put it's text above everything else. though I doubt that workshop version of the addon will work with this, as it always checks the workshop addons last. hence it always goes in the very bottom. therefore you can put the addon from the "workshop" folder within your "addons" folder, into the said "addons" folder.
I personally subscribed to this addon to see if the workshop version worked or not, and it does work for me.
can you specify what does it look like to you, please? the addon list in the game itself for example?
thank you for suggesting.
but also, forgive me for asking... I have failed to find male/female pain sounds anywhere in CTurix's files. how are they called, and where do they reside? is it maybe some newgrounds page I missed blindly?
well anyhow, I should also thank you. for making the Madness Combat pistol SFX, which I'm using currently, albeit halfly, the reload and handling sounds only. it's nice to hear, and feels more thoughtfully made.
