Yeah that seems to be the issue. Looks like you have to make sure these switches are placed out of range of any substation. Nice switches if you work around that :)

quite literally, easiest way to avoid the ghost power from these is to just keep this far enough away from any substation so the substations are not connected to them (in the form of them trying to give them power like a building)

This mod did something weird to my power grid. I was using several of them in my grid, combined with the large 10MW substations. These switches would cause the substations to consume their maximum power and flicker on and off, as if they were over-capacity, but the power was free (the power station had barely any demand). When I swapped for normal switches the problem went away, and the power usage by the substations went down to the proper value.

It seems this solution doesn't work on priority swithches, or maybe I made some mistake when creating them. I just found out their maximum cappacity is 55 MW. I haven't the time to look closer on the matter right now though. Maybe later this week.
