This is the best sound mod in the entire workshop.
-Gun sounds are reasonably realistic.
-Reduced echo.
-Doesn't sound distant from your weapon.
-Has a filthy sound to it (a grittiness).

Alrighty, I updated it with the default 3rd person sound for now. It will sound the same in first person.

I repeat, it will sound the same in first person. This is not a mistake.
The third person sound is the problem sound and it has been temporatily removed until such time as I can fix it.

First-person SKS sound isn't perfect, but it is improved for me. Can't tell what it sounds like getting shot at yet because I can't find anyone who's using one.

Hey Aldarith, thanks for the effort, the SKS now sounds like its coming from your left when you're firing it lol, this is with a 2.1 speaker without surround. So it ends up sounding as if your teammate is firing it

I use headphones as well, so it's not specific to headphones or speakers if that other guy is having the issue as well.

I have the same issue with the SKS and a couple others, it's worst when playing with 5.1 speakers, but great soundpack

I love this pack, and I hope to come back to it later, but I'll have to unsubscribe for now.
That issue I mentioned earlier where the SKS and one or two other weapon sounds are coming from loctions different to where their weapons are being fired from is getting me killed quite often.
It's possible that the issue is on my end, but I don't know what it could be. If it's not, I really hope it's resolved soon because otherwise this pack is fantastic.

I'm really picky about sounds. I almost couldn't play the first Bioshock through because of the weapon sounds!

Changes made, by the way.

Now includes M9 firing and slide sounds as well as small changes to the Makarov, AKM and AKSU empty sounds.

New SKS boltback sound too.

That's bizarre - I'm gonna play as Security for a couple of rounds and see if I can replicate the problem.

The SKS sounds is quite off for me. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere behind me, and it's really confusing when someone is shooting at you with one. I look towards the sound and no-ones there, as he's several meters away from there.

The ingame Mosin sound is also different from that heard in the video, there are two in-game sounds. There was some kind of scripting error when I was recording that has since been fixed.

Oops! It's the shooting sounds that aren't included, the reload sounds are still relevant.

The list is of guns affected, not the type of replacement. My apologies for being unclear!

It does sound grea, going to subscribe.
However, the list includes the M4a1, and then you say the M4a1 sound is not included. That's a bit confusing.
