That shouldn't be possible, I don't change any of the animals' attack stats. That's likely caused by something else.

The Dev Snapshot changes frequently, I don't see any point in trying to patch this with that version instead of waiting for an actual full release to work with.

Mod throws 12 patch operation errors on launch about bird and turtle-like bodies on 1.6 with current CE preview on workshop. Can provide error logs :steamhappy:

@Richard Mc Nutbuster - Mass is tied to the animal's bodysize, which this mod reduces, so rats weigh way less than 12 kg here.

That said, I just tested it and I can lower it just a little more.

@Russo - Thrumbos have much less health but still have way more than any other animal and still have very thick armor. Elephants and megasloths are unchanged.

This looks promising!
I have been away from Rimworld for quite a while, and it did feel way more "clunky" to hunt with CE than i remembered it.
This would definitely explain why so, and looking forward to more patches being recovered =)
