Not sure how possible that would be, since padding just uses the same textures as patches. I know what you mean though, that would be nice :)
Lurmey 12. okt. kl. 15:35
I'd love a mod that shows patched holes like this but specifically hides "Padding" which is added in areas without holes for extra defense.

Works well on Build 41. Thank you so much for this mod, it singlehandedly saved tailoring for me. I just couldn't bare the look of vanilla patches that just resemble smudges of dirt on player's clothes
Natenoname 22. juli kl. 1:05
Nothing i was just curious cuz i didn't want to do something weird to happen to my save
Mr. Nehative 20. juli kl. 10:44
Sweet! If you want to, I can make my version and you can consider adding it. No work for you!
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 20. juli kl. 8:12
I might make some extra alternative versions in future, I'm just giving zomboid a break until we get multiplayer, don't wanna get too burnt out!
Mr. Nehative 20. juli kl. 7:05
Idealy it would be better to have it as an option on the official mod (like the basic and fancy submods), but since theres no objections from you, I'm gonna go do it.
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 20. juli kl. 7:02
Sure, go for it :)
Mr. Nehative 20. juli kl. 5:41
My suggestion of making them black or transparent, if you don't want to do it yourself of course.
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 20. juli kl. 3:49
What did you have in mind?
Mr. Nehative 19. juli kl. 14:02
Hey can I make a modified version?
Natenoname 18. juli kl. 4:42
Ok thanks
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 17. juli kl. 5:25
it'll prioritise one texture set over the other!
Natenoname 17. juli kl. 3:32
What happens if you enable both basic and fancy patches?
Mr. Nehative 16. juli kl. 13:08
Or with 50% transparency IDK.
Mr. Nehative 16. juli kl. 13:07
Make a version where the patches are darker.
MrSmileyincorprated 14. juli kl. 6:39
you should make different types of colored patches
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 7. maj kl. 4:00
I'd love to make that possible but I possess no coding skills whatsoever, I don't know how possible that is, if someone could figure out how to code that though I'd happily provide the art for it!

It would be a good idea to create different patches depending on tailoring level, for example from level 0 to level 3 all patches will be basic, but from level 3 they will become fancy.
myce_mycologic 7. apr. kl. 10:35
it would be really cool if we could craft patches with like, designs on them and stuff, to personalize yfm?
viperro 17. mar. kl. 20:36
can we get patches that look more uniform and symmetrical?
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. kl. 2:43
Yup! Perfectly safe! All the mod does is swap some textures, so it won't affect saves at all if you add or remove it mid-playthrough :)
miglup 24. feb. kl. 16:48
hi is this safe to use on an existing save? cool mod
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 8. feb. kl. 18:01
One will just override the other depending on load order. Just pick the one of the two that you prefer!
z0ntir 8. feb. kl. 16:41
Is it safe to enable fancy and basic at the same time? If not, can I mark one as incompatible with the other?
GarglingGlass 3. feb. kl. 16:18
I just had to activate it again in my save file (Load>More>Mods), that's all.
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 2. feb. kl. 11:42
Glad its working now!
F0rtunat3 2. feb. kl. 11:27
hey! it seems like my problem was solved! cool mod!!
Balance 2. feb. kl. 6:48
I'll keep you updated and shoot you a message if i get it working, I can't promise I'll be able to but I'm definitely going to try! :spiffo:
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 2. feb. kl. 6:38
I'd happily collaborate with you if you do figure it out! I'd love to make that possible!
Balance 2. feb. kl. 6:32
I love the new additions! I'm trying to see if I can figure out how to make them go from basic to fancy based on tailoring level because both textures are fantastic and I don't wanna choose just one lol, I'm not sure how I'd accomplish this yet but in the event I figure it out and it's something you'd like I'd be happy to send the code to you! Regardless keep up the amazing work, I love these type of mods! :spiffo:
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 15:08
I think its because I changed the name of the mod folder, so the game thought the mod was missing. Glad its working now though!
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 15:03
Odd. I havent changed the mod ID or anything like that. It might be worth uninstalling the mod entirely and reinstalling it? And make sure you're only enabling one version at a time to avoid confusion on the game's end. Sorry for the trouble!
Arthur Dent 1. feb. kl. 14:59
Don't know what fixed it but messed around with reloading the mods, backing the save up, loading older saves, etc. Works on the current save again.
Mr.Dorito 1. feb. kl. 12:51
Ok thank you!
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 12:48
The difference is in the sewing work! basic ones look messier, while the fancy patches have sewing within the patch. It's perfectly safe to add mid-save I believe, since all this mod is doing is overriding the vanilla patch textures.
Mr.Dorito 1. feb. kl. 11:56
which one is better the fancy one or the basic one? Its because i dont see so much difference, also can this be added mid-save?
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 8:49
You'll only be able to see one at a time unfortunately, activating both at once will just prioritise one over the other. (Thank you very much <3)
El 1. feb. kl. 8:37
can i activate both fancy and basic ( cool mods btw)
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 6:06
B41 SHOULD work now. Sorry folks!
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 1:33
If anyone COULD code that I would happily provide the textures for it!
rawgu 1. feb. kl. 0:33
its ok, the mod is a banger regardless :p
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 0:08
@UnfortunateBlooper ill take another look! Do try uninstalling and reinstalling it as the mod is now split into multiple mods, I'll get this fixed soon!
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. kl. 0:06
I don't know if it's possible either, I'd love to do that but I don't have the coding skills to try that ;<
rawgu 31. jan. kl. 23:37
it would be nice if the patches changed from basic on low levels to fancy on higher levels - not sure if thats even possible lmao but great mod <3
F0rtunat3 31. jan. kl. 19:06
hey i still cant find this in my mod list? idk if this might just be something on m side now though
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 31. jan. kl. 16:43
The mod is now B41 compatible folks! (I think, if it's still not working lemme know and I'll get right on that)
GestumStage 31. jan. kl. 7:48
Это все круто конечно, но я когда нибудь найду 1 том tayloring.
Spike!  [ophavsmand] 31. jan. kl. 5:31
So this mod just replaces the usual glove patch textures with a blank texture. I couldn't really find a decent place to put a patch on the gloves that didn't look really silly on something like the leather gloves. I might revisit this though!
retr0l0gy 31. jan. kl. 5:13
Question before I enable the mod: is there anyway I can renable patches on gloves? I didn't mind them on gloves
