This mod already includes all features of the chewing tobacco fix, so installing both is redundant - just install the larger mod.
Well, yeah, it does solve the problem that has already occured, so addding mid-game and using chewing tobacco just once resets your stats in question (so they are literally fixed, from bad state to proper one).
And I even added a fix yesterday that helps with Food Sickness going nan. So there's no nan.
nnan
I also notified the modding community as far as smoking mods are concerned, telling them how to make their packs "smokable", so fingers crossed we won't have to pull the ciggies from the packs no more soon :)
I promise to (attempt to) port the mod to B41 once we reach that threshold :)
I sent you an invitation to friends, hit me up once you accept it and I'll send you the custom version.
Frankly I'd consider reducing the number of your mods, if you've a few, cause lemme tell you, once I got rid of a lot of mods I didn't really need, my game loads way faster, and I didn't tell you but I also had that problem with mod options resetting, this way I know that you can recover them from the ini backup. And the problem stopped once I reduced the number of my mods
So lemme know how the option with the space goes, I think it might work.
Thank you also for the guidance regarding saving mod options! I'm not really sure why it happens on my end, but I'm hoping it'll save me a bunch of headaches in the future! :)
You can set the text to be blank I believe by entering a space in the textbox :) but if you're struggling with the mod options retracing to defaults, then this should not happen normally at all. My advice is to copy the modOptions.ini file which you can find is C:\<username>\Zomboid\lua folder, but first enable ALL the mods that you set settings for and set them according to your will so that they get recorded in the file, and then when the settings get reset (for some reason which should not be the case as I said), just replace the file with the backup.
Hope that helps!
Sure, I'll keep on using 42.6 for a while and report if something breaks, but its working like a charm for now :)
Though it's still advised to use it on the latest version to be 100% sure there's no unwanted error. Happy to hear you're not having any issues!
Saying this because if it's not stated in the .info file, you have to go into debug mode to enable the mod while running a older PZ version
I modified mine to versionMin=42.6.0
Till now there was no way of telling if the character uses a cheroot or a normal cig, now the problem'll be gone in a moment :)
Hope you find it useful.
There's still only one translation apart from my own (so there's Polish and Russian), the Russian needs a small patch (missing a few strings), I encourage you to make a translation if you know a foreign language, there's more of you there for sure :)
EDIT: OK it seems you might be referring to unpacking cheeroot which does not exist in the game since cheroots are not packed into packets :) Because everyhting seems to be in workking order.
MOREOVER, I am planning on creating new mod, and it aligns with your description as well, so stay tuned :)
I don't even know. I've been picking through the game files in my free time lately, then I've been testing for half a day))) There's no time to just play yet.
all people are waiting for the release of full multiplayer in the game.
For now all I can say is that it'll also be a QoL focused mod. Pretty much aligned with @Dumbledood's (12 Feb @ 10:02pm) idea.
Primarily because I need to focus on other things, and it will be marked 1.3.3 or 1.4 depending on the actual change scope, and it will be the last update before one major update to 2.0.0.
You can suggest what you would like to see done in the last development stage. I will consider your feedback to shape just the mod just the way you'd all like to play for months, possibly even years.
But it's probably not one that my English teacher would've approved... Pardon. I'll change the dialogue line to:
I've got this many! different types of packs in my inventory. I need to unpack one first.
Does that sound right? Was that the issue in the first place? Sorry for the confusion, anywayz ;)
The Polish translation for modOptions is suspended till next update, sorry about that.
In the options you can choose which type of information would you rather see - approximate (more realistic) or exact number (more convenient)
Chewing tobacco will finally be transferred from any container you have it in to the main inventory and used properly....
AND it will GO BACK to the container you took it from automatically! Still doing research to make it so for the lighters and different chews too
Finally added all the missing Polish translation lines
edit: ...and one more quick hotfix - the dialogues were showing a placeholder value in place of correct dialogues, thanks for @Bilie Bones
let's hope this is the last one. I was wanting to deliver too rapidly, sorry for the errors.
Thanks for the support!
- Added support for HGO Expansion - all the smokable items and the BBQ lighter
- Other than that every smokable from every other mod should now be added to my list automatically (you need to quit the game and load the save for the smokes to be added to the list)
- Added support for Mod Options - you can now set your own dialogues for when there's no lighter or cigarettes!
I've been working full day to develop a good enough algorithm and when it finally detected 82 items from 82-items-long list that the dictionary-of-compatibility has grown to for these few weeks, that tells me it sure is good to go, but I still want to make it as light resource-wise as it could get, seeing it will roll on every new game :)
@Ratamus, thx!
@Leftbones the updated dialogues will be introduced in the upcoming update. Thanks for pointing that out, I kind of didn't give it any thought and left them as they were, but I think I agree with you, now come to think of it. The unpacking functionality is going to be rolled out in the following one if I don't crash into any obstacles. Until then, plz go with Ratamus' solution :)
@Ratamus, oh, that's cool, can you give me the name of your mod?
So I just built upon his mod, hard inspiration so to speak ;)
I get your point, and I will change them, no worries. Next version is coming in a few days maximum.
