updated to maybe fix an issue where it was losing reference to the player object.
tightened up the code a bit more.
added in the Turkish translation by Glapnak(thanks!)

When I played the mid game, the mod was not working actively. I fixed the problem by opening the mods notepad in the save folder from the save location and adding the mod = \JBMoveCorpses, for this mod. It worked.

@Glapnak If you're on B42 and are right clicking on a dead zombie, there might be a mod conflict.

I installed the mod but it doesn't work. The move corpses option doesn't appear in the right click.

@Seventythird - I run 3 online businesses that rely on searches and I can go on for hours about the many, many ways google can eat me.

I'm glad you're enjoying the mod! I wish I had more time to work on this stuff to make it better.

Was really hard to find this mod despite searching the exact title in google for some reason. Only got here through the comments on another zomboid mod after I'd almost given up. A true lifesaver mod tho

@Aura Farmer - Dropping was a choice. If I was dragging a bunch of bodies of former undead that were trying to kill me, I would just drop them like a rock. As for the other issue, if the corpse is dropped near the selection area, sometimes it's feet or head bleed in to that area and it gets picked up again.

Very nice QoL mod tho, worked as intended, but I just noticed that there was no laying down animation tho (just quick drop and goes for the other corpse to drag, sometimes the already placed corpse getting dragged by 1 tile) not a deal breaking tho.

42.11 - Fixed corpses reanimating if a player reloads a save while dragging.
No more zombie pals, hopefully. Idk if the lockup issue has been addressed though.

the best part is, if you remove the zombie with debug, it will reappear after a restart. Nice.

@Cosmo - I checked without any mods, and if you exit and restart while grappling a zombie, it turns in to a non-interactable pal that just stands there. I'll report it to TIS again.

@jbdiablo I've been playing for quite a long time and I've never noticed anything except for the situation with this mod and the bike mod, but if you say that this is a problem with the game itself, then I see no reason not to believe you. Maybe the problems are related to the ragdoll system + I use the ragdoll system mod for zombies when you beat them. I need to experiment and try turning off the mod and not activating the ragdoll system in the game itself.

the character freezing is the main issue that causes all of it, but it is a base game issue that I can't fix. Before 42.6, if you froze and restarted, everything was ok. Then you got "zombie blobs" that you couldn't interact with and now you get this "zombie pal" bug. And there are absolutely no errors when this happens so it's impossible for me to trace without janking around in the source code.

@everyone with glitched zombies -- It is a base game bug. Without this mod, if you pick up a zombie and auto-walk enough times, this will still happen. They haven't fixed the original lock-up issue but in their effort to fix the "gelatinous zombie blob" bug, they introduced this one.

I can't fix it until they fix the original issue and stop slapping band-aids on it all.

Hey @jbdiablo I have a problem with the mod, after transferring several zombies, the character froze, any actions are impossible.
The zombie I was supposed to be dragging at the time (after I re-entered the game) was standing there as if alive, but it wasn't alive (neither a corpse nor alive).
No errors from mod.

I have a fun issue where if I end up frozen and have to reload - the zombie I was hauling will be standing up and alive, unable to notice me, and unable to be hit by me. Collidable though. So now I have friendly zombie friends.

Interesting bug where you drag the bodies to the location but the corpse will be left suspended in the "dragging" position. Other than that, works great! Grabbing the corpse again fixes it but if clearing tons of zombies that can get obnoxious

@Guicsr_ That isn't implemented. It's planned but I don't even have the any test code for that yet. All you can do is put them in a pile right now.

When I click for the first time, I choose a hole to bury the corpse, but the zombie doesn't go inside the hole; it stays above.

It should be fixed for 42.8 now. They changed the animation state names for "layDownBody" so your player didn't know when they put the zombie down. I also fixed up the speed-reset issue. You should be able to stay in fast-forward now. I think. It all works on my end but y'all let me know if it's janked up. Cheers!

Thanks for the mod!

Could you please fix a bug that appeared in version 42.8? Previously, in version 42.7, the mod would automatically collect all corpses in the player's designated area and take them to the dump site. However, in version 42.8, it picks up a corpse, dumps it, and then stops there, without moving on to the next corpse

I had that character getting stuck in a freeze frame bug without using your mod.

Albeit a heavily modded B42 save. Still. Seems to also be an issue without your mod. Was caused when I opened a door with a zombie in-hand - the zombie was dropped on the floor. Next time I picked up the zombie the freeze frame began.

@jbdiablo Every time I press an action, my character moves toward the corpse and gets stuck. Any subsequent actions result in an error (with a mod warning about the issue). At first, I thought my PC was lagging, so I exited the game and tried again, but the issue persisted. That's why I left a comment to inform the mod creator so they can check and fix the bug.

@Bin - I just tested again and it's working for me on 42.6. Sometimes it gets stupid when you unequip before dragging the first zombie but after you've unequipped, it works fine - and I'll fix that today. Otherwise it seems to work ok.

This mod relies on the vanilla corpse dragging. Is there something I'm missing or a way for me to reproduce it? Thanks!

i usually get around this by just luring zombs outside of buildings that i want but this sounds interesting

This works in 42.6 but the speed keep is broken now. You'll have to fast forward after laying down a zombie every time until I can figure this one out.

@Mad Data Scientist !PC Technically, they only changed the path finding code for when you're character is "walking backwards." Simplified, it does an "isReady" check but it's never ready because the rag doll code isn't 100% complete, which causes the timed action to bug out and stop.

No ETA, but I would expect it to be done in the next 1 or 2 updates. And in TIS's defense, 42 is an unstable branch and most mods will probably break at some point before it's cooked all the way.
