Hi, glad you left a comment. I think Neonomi wanted to get rid of the obstacle destruction, because of the part of the video where he says “Not to mention that sometimes the stompy effect is bad on it's own” and shows a footage in which the player takes damage by accidentally stomping a mushroom.

Sure, maybe he was just making an argument for why this item should be buffed, but I also think he would have mentioned that destroying obstacles stays in the part when talking about his rework.
