2 - Annabelle? Really? I don’t even have a fast bind key to select this weapon because it’s pointless compared to the revolver. Annabelle uses the same type of ammo and deals the same damage, but it has a smaller magazine capacity and shoots slower than the revolver. Also, it doesn’t feel presentable.
3 - The changetriggers don’t work because your maps don't have “info_nodes.” An “info_node” is an entity that creates AI paths for NPCs, point by point. This means you need to place multiple “info_nodes” throughout your map to make your mappack functional. Once you’ve added them, your map will no longer display the error message “Node Graph out of Date. Rebuilding” every time it loads.
Well, if I write anything else about issues with your mappack, you’ll need to rebuild the whole mappack to fix everything. So, let's just focus on making your mappack playable.
1 - You didn't me about the Gravity Gun, it’s too overpowered in your mappack. The Gravity Gun can kill everything with one shot. For example, a crossbow needs at least three shots to kill a poison zombie, but the Gravity Gun can kill with a wooden wardrobe in just two hits. Adding more ammo or even infinite ammo doesn’t solve this issue.
Half-Life 2’s game design didn’t place too many props in each map because it would drop FPS on hardware from 2004. Maps were designed to limit the Gravity Gun's effectiveness on larger maps. For example, in the tower defense map where Alyx is taken prisoner, the Gravity Gun is almost useless because:
There aren’t enough props to throw.
Combines attack from a distance and are not much so helpess than zombies.
- On the second (or whichever) map (where you walk through tall buildings), the FPS drops.
- The "displacements" look weird. )))))
- After picking up the Gravity Gun, I almost forgot about other weapons because they’re less powerful, and this mappack has a bunch of props to throw.
- It’s just walking and killing zombies, nothing interesting.
- Use "trigger_once," not "trigger_multiple," when you need a trigger to activate only once and not replay multiple times.
Please add load triggers to your mappack. :)
go fix it
Nice
map command doesn't work but changelevel does?
