i'm not sure personally. however, there is already an updated version which also is made to accomodate the Phoenix II http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=773620990

This is a very beautiful ship. I've decided to update it, but all it really needs is some oxygen and a fresh coat of paint. The piping system is completely linked but I'm having trouble understanding it. I can load raw ores and they make their ways to refineriess and arc furnaces as normal, however I've found that I cannot retrieve or deposit items from one side of the ship to the other. I cannot access the cargo containers on the roof from anywhere else on the ship. I know it has to be more of a function of the game itself and not the build. What I'm I missing to understand it? Any suggestions?

No, that is not the point i am trying to make. We signed on for this when we willingly bought and played an Alpha game. I might not agree with everything that they do, but i'm also not educated on programming so I can't claim to know better than them, and they are far better than major companies like EA or Activision regardless.

The main point is this: given the nature of an alpha game, updating an old project is simply more trouble than it's worth, as you'll likely revisit more than once or twice. second, to update an old design to incorporate new features is naturally less efficient than a new design that was meant to incorporate it. Just as if you put a modern Porsche engine into some 1950s car. The Aerodynamics will suck, and the structure may not support the high velocities new cars are capable of. You're better off making a new chassis to support your new technology. In the same way, I'd rather produce a new ship than maintain an old one.

I am aware. Keen's forcing players into Dx-11 killed mod compatibility for any authors who stopped updating their stuff. This is one of the major reasons why I try to stay vanilla these days, as mods are unreliable going into the future.

Creations like this one that are going on 2 years old have no guaranteed performance, which is why i made the "Vintage Collection" to store them.

If people are interested in updating these creations i'm happy to give credit, links, upload the fix, etc. However, as I have 40+ outdated creations, either by mods that die off or the constant updating to SE that breaks and fixes stuff in constant flux, my main concern is on current or future projects rather than trying to constantly fix something that broke but is ultimately obsolete anyway.
ranoutofnames 11. maj 2016 kl. 15:36
hey there is a problem with one of the mods
ranoutofnames 11. maj 2016 kl. 15:27
ok thx
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 11. maj 2016 kl. 15:16
no, i won't be making any changes to this world any time soon. both ships are compatible with the settings on this facility, and can dock with it just fine. all you need to do is copy and paste the facility and put the ships in.

If you want the mod list, it's easily seen by looking at the settings for the world before you load it in game. since it's not a blueprint, you don't need the mod list.
ranoutofnames 11. maj 2016 kl. 10:46
also please put in the mod list
ranoutofnames 11. maj 2016 kl. 9:09
both
ranoutofnames 11. maj 2016 kl. 9:08
is it possible to make a virsion with it
ranoutofnames 10. maj 2016 kl. 17:54
hey does the ship come with it
karm 10. maj 2016 kl. 5:19
But thanks for listing the mods
karm 10. maj 2016 kl. 5:18
I see, I just want to be able to spawn this in on some of my world's because it looks awesome.
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2016 kl. 19:35
keep in mind though that with worlds you don't need the mods, as the game will acquire anything you need automatically.
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2016 kl. 19:34
should just be armor ramps, eikester's decor packs, and kolt consoles. it's been a very long time though, and i don't even have the file anymore as it was on my old computer
karm 9. maj 2016 kl. 16:25
may i ask, what mods are included in this world?
ZoskaOska 13. apr. 2015 kl. 14:49

DarkoRockZ 11. apr. 2015 kl. 3:35

TheWendigo_Alpha 1. jan. 2015 kl. 21:06
how do i use the drones
Boylaska 25. dec. 2014 kl. 23:36
Though, there are people that would like to use this mod in combination with another world mod, so because this is also a world mod that wouldnt be possible. It looks great though!
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2014 kl. 15:35
im not going to release this as a blueprint. the facility has drones and other parts which cannot be included if i do so. a world also makes it much easier for everyone, because the mods are included when you load it up.
Chaoskid 22. dec. 2014 kl. 15:27
its not a blueprint so i cant use it
ManiacNathan 4. dec. 2014 kl. 2:33

Sandboxer 28. nov. 2014 kl. 5:46
love it. best I've seen. I was just thinking you could adapt it to handle the new projector block like mabey some automates weapos creation and possibly som fighter building to stock your large ship :)
DMMWolf 13. nov. 2014 kl. 18:17
I'll take 2 please
DaudiusFaas 13. nov. 2014 kl. 16:34

Foresh 13. nov. 2014 kl. 15:26
It looks a bit like a skeleton of an old animal, like one from a western.
Ðiehard 13. nov. 2014 kl. 15:11
@Flyinryan
Btw when you load up something off the workshop, if you save it locally on your computer (save game after workshop file is loaded) then you can open it up from the saved games list.

From there you can go into the mod tab and find out all the mods a specific workshop file used.
Drek 13. nov. 2014 kl. 12:26
I'm surprised your computer could handle the shipyard and the battleship
flyinryan99 12. nov. 2014 kl. 13:59

This is epic. :spacehelmet:
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2014 kl. 10:09
you should be fine. i have less than that and it runs with only a small amount of lag
daewoo kalos 11. nov. 2014 kl. 9:02
I have a question, is it FPS friendly? I mean yeah, it depends on my computer's hardware and my graphics settings configuration, but what you think how does it perform on a computer setup like this: Intel Core i3 (2.3Ghz), nVidia Geforce 710m (2 GB) 8GB RAM. (Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language, btw great work it looks great by the pictures).
Sailor Pothead 10. nov. 2014 kl. 4:44
looks a bit like some of the EvE Online jump gates
Bumbleton 9. nov. 2014 kl. 13:56
eh, i'd think a warp gate would be a full circle of sorts, and in SE, with LOTS of gravity generators to get a ship to max speed.
󠀡󠀡 9. nov. 2014 kl. 12:10
Am I the first person to notice that this looks more like a warp gate than a ship maintenance center
Lord Commissar  [ophavsmand] 9. nov. 2014 kl. 9:14
i have no idea, it was designed for my own typical ship sizes, but even still has trouble with the winged designs.

the emergency linkup is a cool idea. However, I havent dealt with merge blocks in a while because of their tendency to wreak havoc whenever you merge something, so they may have fixed that. Still, I would lean towards the more reliable option of simply using a tower ship - which also gives me a good reason to make something of the sort in the future. That would be much more practical as well, IMO, than a whole battleship being taken out of the fight just to move its repair station.
C R Y T I S 8. nov. 2014 kl. 22:51
Glorious...You did a fine job sir.
SpectraStar 8. nov. 2014 kl. 12:33
Darklord my Friend. i can't beleve it. you made a Shipyard for big ships. Thank you! i will need it for my Production of Phoenix Class Refits
Bumbleton 8. nov. 2014 kl. 8:48
you come out with the best ships i've seen so far. love your designs. not only do they look nice and very well done, but they are fully functional, and not just "shiney".
Yngv4rr 8. nov. 2014 kl. 2:47
man, that's awesome!
Rhedd 7. nov. 2014 kl. 5:16
