It has to do with how weapon scripting works. If you got mods that alter the map in any way, it can break it.

Can anyone tell me how this works because the script just doesnt work for me for some reason....but it will work on other maps. Why is this? I dont understand

Really? It's almost as if it says that "it's a script" thus is REQUIRED to function properly so it missing is going to break saves it was used in prior!

Hello, this is a very good mod. My only complaint is that this overwrites the ammo and damage for the crossbow regardless of your load order, and that the trail — although very well-done — seems to render too close to the player, which does not look very good if not using the scope, though this is a very minor issue.

Could the line of code for sk_ammo_crossbow_max and sk_plr_dmg_crossbow be removed from the custom scripts to increase compatibility with other mods?

Also, I agree with @John on this one. It would be ultra awesome to have this.

Ever thought about doing this for the AR2 ALT-Fire? I just wanna replace it with something similar to the grenade launcher on the SMG1. Mainly so I can use it rather seamlessly with the M4 w/M203 mod.

Everytime i fire the thing it thinks i don't have anymore ammo when i already do.. i have Infinite ammo on and it still won't fire, just shows up as red, what's the deal with that?

mine you can see the tracer but you can still the bolt flying slowly to where you aiming

so the script stopped working.... even on community maps the script doesn't work. there is only the crossbow proj, no tracers and no increased speed. if you can fix this or tell me how to fix it i will be very VERY thankful.

it uses multiple CFGs to spawn in a trigger that encases the entire map
the trigger only detects the crossbow bolt class and runs another CFG when it fires
the cfg teleports the bolt and spawns the tracer effect

The new update might have broke the script. I just updated the game placed multiloader and the script at the top, only to find some bolt shooting out instead of lazer

the script multiloader should be at the very top and this should be somewhere beneath it

is there a specific load-order I should have for this?
It still fires a crossbow bolt, and the tracer is incredibly offset.
I have the multi-loader and I've heard that load-order is important for mods.

it still shoots a crossbow bolt and travels in a arc. i tried shooting an enemy from a distance and it took a second or two for the enemy to die before getting hit. the only thing is a tracer that doesn't match with the crossbow bolt

Does this script affect any sk_ variables? I've started having a 24 crossbow bolt limit when it's enabled, which disappears when it is disabled.
