I'm not knowledgable enough in coding, but I know for a fact that this mod borrows the same technique and even mod base for its function. I use it myself along with Item Descriptions and haven't encountered any compatibility issues. Chances are, some other mod is causing this problem. You should check if other OST mods break Item Descriptions or if it's just mine.

I could, but the mod's focus is entirely on the floor layers, not porting album versions of boss themes. Part of me thinks it's already been done, too
