Thanks! Hopefully I can figure it out. This game is stupidly hard to mod. If I end up having to removing the bounding box changes I'm going to make it a sub mod for people that like that feature. So it wont be gone entirely, but hopefully it wont come to that.

Damn. Rooting for you! I absolutely love the bounding boxes being so small. Let's me get really creative with weapons design!

@Jeff11 no its not. I'm aware of the problem and am trying to find a way to fix it but so far i haven't. the problem comes from the changes to bounding boxs. If i can't fine a way to fix it then im going to remove the bounding box changes.

Is this mod supposed to disconnect all large grid gatling/missile turrets that were placed before installing this mod? It's affecting everything - from ships I had spawned to new ships I paste in, to all (vanilla) Ai.
The weapons become fully disconnected upon loading the world and are neither functional nor registering as part of the ship anymore. If I replace them afterwards then everything works as intended -- which is fine -- except for can't do that with Ai.

Large grid and small grid rocket in this mod pack do not use the same ammo.

@Yamato_kurusaki I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are you talking about the, difference between large and small grid weapons, ship weapons and handheld weapons, or different large grid weapons?

@VS-lockon while the vanilla AI definitely isn't flawless, and it may be "primitive" relative to Weapon Core content, it's still something a lot of people use.
I personally actually avoid Weapon Core as it changes stuff too fundamentally in a way I don't like. I'm not saying it's a bad mod, it's clearly popular and probably has a lot of time and effort into it, but it's not for everyone, and not the base game.

It not being the base game also means mod developers aren't obligated to add integration for it into their mods as that adds extra time, effort, and scripting for specialized compatibility added.
So if all possible I wouldn't berate someone working on a mod for not adding a feature like that.

Sorry for the ramble, and I do hope you find someting that works for you.
Also sorri if it comes off a bit awkward but I don't usually send stuff on public forums xD

@FrostedDragonOats ty so much for the mod, I've been either trying to figure out modding for it, or trying to find a mod that adds a reasonable weapon balance to the game that isn't absurd, and this is wonderful. Especially the bounding boxes added with the rest of the features.

@TheRebornAce the mod has been updated to increase the autocannon ammo range to 1km. I also increase the ai aiming range for the turret to 800m, and decreased the bounding box size for the autocannon turret and the small grid assault cannon turret. Also the ai aiming range of the small grid assault cannon turret is now 1.4km.

@TheRebornAce that is definitely something I'm going to do as soon as I can. I honestly for got to change it, so thank you for letting me know. I agree with you, I think 1km is a good range to the autocannon.

@FrostedDragonOats BTW, what is your thoughts on increasing the effective ammo range for the autocannon? Kinda think it should have a slightly further range than the gatling ammo. Maybe 1km?

Also, none of us says you can't enjoy using WC or wrong for doing so. Everyone has their way of playing this game and there is no such thing as the "right way" (except for hacking and cheating). To think otherwise is childish. Throughout this comment section only you yourself have been spewing insults and being condenscending. Again your "claims" are just of opinions and personal preference. Nothing factual.

You're missing the point. What we're saying is why are you solely relying on AI aim to deal with certain modules? Have you ever considered to just manually doing the targetting yourself? Precision strikes? Like how irl military does when taking high value targets. And before you say it's impossible, have you watched Assertive Aquisitions? No WC, not even V+, and they can still claim good chunk (80%+) of the grid with just pure vanilla combat.

@TheRebornAce it not skill issue it's the fact that the weapon AI won't stop firing even after it destroys the designated block there for you weapon after disabling the power system of the it will attack the other block even if you set it to only target power sources so it more of base game weapon ai issue then a player i kill over 1000 player ship and over 3000 module encounters ship even the shield drone that you can't even damage without destroying the small grid inside of it and i have all themm with a 99% Salvage form with with base weapon ai you have a 40% of the ship left to Salvage dam you guy and you primitive Tech are so blind to know that

I'm a really good shot with manual aim so i don't have to rely on the ai to aim for me, so thats not a problem for me and like everyone i game with. Also its a sandbox game play it how you want to. not everyone enjoys the same thing.

@VS-lockon It is not a fact, that is just your opinion. And I don't fight ships for salvage because I always have way more resource then I need. Also winning a fight is about skill and the weapons you are using.

@FrostedDragonOats it's not an opinion it's facts base game Weapon ai even if you tell it to shot at power production it still fires afterwards is there for you lose more of the ship so you can't Salvage most of it so ya you use poor targeting system all you want me and the (DFC) will just turn you ship with it primitive Tech to to materials

Wow, thanks for this mod. These are the exact values I've always wanted for my world. I know other similar mods exist but they're usually over-the-top and out performs a majority of the weapon mods i use. So thanks for this!
