@Radarouton for example Ma Clique literally means "Mohammad Clique" because Ma is the chinese version of Muhammad, and that region was ruled by a family with that family name.

@Radarouton while the religions aren't accurate, china would have a lot of sunni regions in the north west (Xingxiang is the Uyghur muslim area) and a few in the south as well (Lots of Hui muslims in the south).
