Smaen's Cargo System Rework

It would be amazing if it were possible to pull a load with multiple trucks. For example, the Mercedes Big Stars, I think the MP2 and 3 from Dotek, have a register coupling for connecting to a heavy-duty coupling.

All that's missing is the connecting rod and a second person.

That would be my dream;

then the game would have achieved everything for me. But the 80-ton locomotive isn't so easy even with all the aids turned off.

and thx for your mod.

a good mod that saves a lot of driving. SCS should implement it.
If I were you, I'd ask SiSL if they could help you with the shifted or missing loads.
They've always done that so far.
It enriches the game immensely and makes working with the low loader or reefer much more interesting. Thanks again.
Smaen  [skapare] 28 nov @ 10:32
@DOKTA
Glad you got it working again.
Having extra trucks for a special transport haul like that can be done, in a way.
Since SCS added the electric trailers in the game, there is support for powered axles on trailers. Setting the extra trucks up as trailers, with their own engine (diesel is supported), and powered axles can be done.
It won't be exactly like real life, and it would be a pretty big task. This is beyong my skill level though.
DOKTA 28 nov @ 10:11
Hi and thanks for the answer.

i have lokated my mistake it was the Liftaxle mod for scs trailer.

my mistake now its perfekt

thx for your work.

i have a question is it possible that someone make a mod for roadtrains with pull and push trucks or is the game for that not ready?

https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2010/01/giant-loads-vintage-road-trains-and-push-pull-trucks/

like this 4 trucks 1 load???

sorry my eng isnt good
Smaen  [skapare] 28 nov @ 9:44
@DOKTA: My mod does not affect that, so your issue is elsewhere. Glad you're enjoying the mod though!

@jacoporossi0912: In multiplayer, or if you remove the mod after loading the cargo, your cargo will remain visible. But the fixes to excavator loading direction will of course not take place anymore. Flatbed cargo on lowbed etc will work.
DOKTA 28 nov @ 1:21
hi smean, i have no parklines on the finallokation.

use your mod sinse 1.56. 1 month ago but now on 1.57 are no lines for the parking area.

wrong place in the mod manager, i dont know.

great mod top ten mod for me

nice work

greetings from berlin
jacoporossi0912 27 nov @ 13:34
sorry i have a question, but if i use this mod after loading, will other people on TMP be able to see them on the floor, lowbed or on antoher floor?
edi799 27 nov @ 11:36
does it work with ekeri trailers?
Smaen  [skapare] 27 nov @ 10:32
Can also confirm the mod works with the newly released Forest Machinery DLC as well!
Rytor1776 21 nov @ 17:03
@bandrea27, It already works fine on 1.57.
Smaen  [skapare] 21 nov @ 17:01
@bandrea27: I suggest making a trip to Specsavers, might do you some good.
The mod is already updated.
bandrea27 21 nov @ 13:45
please 1.57
Smaen  [skapare] 20 nov @ 14:07
@Azeria: Great to hear!
Thanks for the information
Azeria 20 nov @ 7:58
@Smaen thanks for getting back to me; I just checked and one of my drivers is transporting Forklifts in their Krone Cool Liner so I suspect you're right and it does work for them!
Smaen  [skapare] 18 nov @ 14:43
@Azeria: I believe employed drivers have the same cargo availability as the player, but I have not tested this.
Azeria 18 nov @ 1:59
Seems like something that should be in the base game honestly. Does this impact your drivers or just yourself? No issues running it on 1.57 so far. Thanks.
Smaen  [skapare] 17 nov @ 22:49
Yup, as Rytor1776 mentioned, the mod is now updated!
1.56 (and older) compatbility remains as well, for anyone who's not on the beta, or sticks with older versions for mod compatbility.
The mod should in theory work on 1.54 to 1.57 (and future).

I haven't made a proper changelog or update post, but I can mention full 1.57 compatbility, some more cargo fixes to lowboy/lowloader (including hauling excavators on the non-extended trailers), fixing some cargoes to appear on the top deck of the lowbed and other changes and fixes I have forgotten.

If anyone runs into any issues, let me know and I'll try to get it sorted as soon as possible.
Enjoy!
Rytor1776 17 nov @ 22:25
Yes now I can play with this on 1.57 OB with no issues!
Smaen  [skapare] 14 nov @ 10:37
@DSmidgy: You can haul standard ADR cargo in any trailers irl, but explosive loads do require trailers with special approval. Curtainsiders can transport explosives.

@wictorych62 I am unable to reproduce this. All the cargoes in my game have standard weights, so I am unsure what has happened in your game there.

@BlackWolf83m: Working on an update, will be out soon!
Hello, could you please update this? That would be really nice, I use it a lot.:greasemonkey:
wictorych62 13 nov @ 5:38
Hi. What are you going to use to carry this? https://ibb.co/qLrR906h ;
DSmidgy 12 nov @ 13:04
You are right - I see that there are 2 cargo files for box and container trailers. Sometimes container carries more cargo (clothes) and sometimes box (chemical sorbent) - little strange as the are all (euro) pallets. But all have different load times as they should.
Another thing is ADR in curtainsiders. Little strange to carry ammunition and explosives in a trailer that can be opened with a knife. :)
For info - I am not a trucker / logistician so consider that when reading what I write.
Smaen  [skapare] 9 nov @ 22:29
@DSmidgy, thank you for your comment.
The cargoes you listed in your comment are not flatbed cargoes, but instead shipping container cargoes. They are therefore not suitable for box trailers. I have already made all flatbed cargoes available for curtainsider trailers, except a couple of cargoes that may not fit.

Metal coils *can* be hauled in dryvan trailers, assuming the trailer has sufficient ways to secure it, but of course they are best transported in specialised trailers.
DSmidgy 9 nov @ 10:41
Regarding Metal Coil cargo - should not be transported with dry freighter. This is a high risk cargo as described here and sometimes specialized flatbeds are used: https://tamlogisticsllc.com/resources/why-are-steel-coils-one-of-the-deadliest-cargo-loads-in-freight-transportation

I think all palletized cargo could be carried by reefer - even Wooden Beams and Straw Bales as they are pallet secure and plastic wrapped.
DSmidgy 9 nov @ 9:03
This is a great mod. :steamthumbsup: Can't wait for the new trailers that carry some flatbed cargo.
What I found in Logistics Map is 3 palletized cargo for flatbeds, that may be suitable for transporting with curtaisider: Break Fluid, Carbon Black Powder, Exhaust Systems.
Smaen  [skapare] 7 nov @ 10:40
Note that the 1.57 beta update broke parts of this mod. I will be releasing an update in the upcoming days.
If you're on the beta, you can still safely use this mod without issue, but some functionality of the mod will not be present.
Smaen  [skapare] 23 okt @ 21:55
@İlkem Öztürk
For the most part, I have already added all the cargoes that fit on the sideboard trailers.
Some flatbed cargoes have been excluded from the sideboard trailer simply because they are too wide, this also includes all cargoes from the Krone Agriculture DLC. None of them fit.
İlkem Öztürk 23 okt @ 19:48
Is it possible to add Farm Machinery,Krone Agricultural Equipment dlc and woodlogs cargoes for Tırsan flatbed with side walls in future?
Smaen  [skapare] 21 okt @ 22:43
@İlkem Öztürk
DLC cargoes are supported.
Anything specific that you're missing?
İlkem Öztürk 21 okt @ 8:34
Could you add cargo dlcs in future?
Yapat 18 okt @ 10:07
A must needed mod for the new trailers. Great job! :honkhonk:
Smaen  [skapare] 13 okt @ 11:02
Mod has been updated!
There's also an alternative download available for those who prefer not using the Workshop, linked on the forum.
Please let me know if you run into any issues!

Leave me a like and favourite if you enjoy the mod, it helps out making the mod more visible to other users!
NiKuTa 11 okt @ 4:09
Where I should put this mod, in mod loader ?
Smaen  [skapare] 6 okt @ 11:20
@Mr.GermanTruck:
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Smaen  [skapare] 6 okt @ 11:19
@racerforarenno1
It will work with any trailers that use vanilla body_types, like flatbed, flatbed_brck, curtainside, dryvan, insulated, refrigerated etc.
I don't know how that specific mod works, but as long as the trailers use these body types, it will be supported. Even if not supported, the two mods should not cause any issues being active at the same time.
racerforarenno1 6 okt @ 9:04
Does it work with the Devils BDF Tandem mod?
Mr.GermanTruck 6 okt @ 0:07
Great Mod :)
Smaen  [skapare] 4 okt @ 10:29
@mr.jo88 What do you need an alternative link for? If you wish to keep the mod from updating, you can copy it from the Steam folder it is downloaded to. I don't want to have to deal with updating the mod on multiple sites, so I will continue just hosting it on the Steam Workshop, even though I know it's not always the most optimal.

@★★ L_O_R_E_N_Z ★★: If you take a job in singleplayer with the mod active, and then head to TMP, your job should stay active and work, and cargo should also remain visible for other players. Obviously TMP doesn't allow you to activate the mod when playing in multiplayer though.

@Harald: I've disabled straw bale cargo for the insulated and reefer bodies now, but keeping it on the dryvan compatibility with external jobs and Convoy, since that is default behaviour.
Will be in with the next update, not going to push out an update just yet.
@Smaen

It would be great if you could fix that.
Mr. German Truck also questioned it in his video.

I think SCS hasn't cleaned up the cargo issue yet.
is that working for truckermsp or not so ?
mr.jo88 4 okt @ 2:18
Please add an alternative link.Thank you.
Smaen  [skapare] 3 okt @ 21:07
@chinziechinz:
I'll be honest... I'm not actually sure. I forgot to check if this impacted traffic trailers. Never really thought about it.
I don't think it does, but it does affect both ownable trailers and freight market trailers.
chinziechinz 3 okt @ 20:51
last question.. is this only happen on player trailer? truck traffic trailer not affected on this mod?
Smaen  [skapare] 3 okt @ 20:44
@chinziechinz: The mod is compatible with all trailers, as it modifies the cargo, not the trailers. This means that all vanilla trailers, DLC trailers and mod trailers will get the new cargo selection.
Changes made to the lowbed cargo placement (like turning around excavators etc.) will only take effect on the SCS and DLC trailers though (and mod trailers that share the same bodies as these).
This mod does not affect containers or container trailers in any way.

---

@Harald: straw bales are actually compatible with dryvan, curtainsider and flatbed by default without my mod, but I do agree it's a bit strange being in a box trailer.

---

@İlkem Öztür: Like most mods, load order won't matter in most cases.
If you have any other mods changing cargoes, you may want to consider which mod gets priority. But unless you end up running into issues, just put it whereever, it is unlikely to matter.

---

Happy to hear people are enjoying the mod!
İlkem Öztürk 3 okt @ 16:52
What is load order for your mod?
Great mod from you, just please remove the straw bales and rolled straw from the cooler and dry cargo box, that's not real.
chinziechinz 3 okt @ 1:52
DLC SCS trailers works? container got work also in this mod?
Schwellen 2 okt @ 23:31
Thanks, exactly what I needed for the low loaders :steamhappy:
Jrmy____ 24 sep @ 10:27
Thank you very much for the work done, I love your mod, I find it really nice and it adds loading times, maybe for upcoming updates and new things from you, a big thank you
Smaen  [skapare] 23 sep @ 9:21
@Howey
Thanks for your feedback!
I had to limit cargoes on the low loaders a bit, as most cargoes refuse to spawn on the top deck, and limited strap hook positions lead to weird stretching and buggy straps on those trailers.
Because of this, I decided against adding more cargoes on them.

After 1.54, straps are automatically generated by the game, and are fully dynamic. This makes the cargo system very flexible, but also results in some really strange and buggy straps at times.

I can certainly try and see if bales could fit, and consider adding it in a future update though.
There will most likely be an update to this mod shortly after the Krone Agriculture Equipment DLC.
Howey 23 sep @ 7:13
Much appreciated for doing this mate. For people like me it's a bit of a game changer bringing in that extras immersion. I guess you'll add more SCS loads between the trailer types in future updates?

I hope straw bales get added to low loaders as they can be a common sight. I used to haul straw bales on a low loaders from time to time myself IRL at one point that's all.
