The mission author Rydygier has just made a post on the BI Forum topic - Pilgrimage Ported. It spells out what needs to be done to fix the reputation system and hostile companions.

I also notice that the 'Companion" is same map color as the enemy. I see why they kill each other now. I find I can use the 'U' function if we're out of sight of one another but not always convenient to do under certain situations.

If you use the Companion-On feature in the menu and then switch via the 'U' function, the other player immediately kills you. I guess the only work-around is to not use the feature.

@3000 Super Tucanos of Marcos. I want to be clear where credits are given. All coding was done by Rydygier. I may have copy/pasted replacement items/factions/vehicles etc but only from his original work.

The main features I'm still working on are adding environmental details. For instance, Altis International now actually looks a giant battle has taken place there, with wrecked planes sitting in destroyed hangers while the Runway itself has been cratered to hell (turns out using SOG is finally paying off thanks to those massive crater props of theirs). I'd also like to add some of those ASM and AAM sites described in the plot ramble.

I haven't added new airfields or strongholds, merely increased the number of airfields that the game will select (IIRC the game chose 2 airfields before, I changed it to four airfields).

the use of factions is actually kind of interesting from a design sense. While I could have disabled Vietnam army soldiers from spawning, in the end I kept them in to simulate the motley crew of nations the US had assembled that were stuck with old US hand-me-downs (plus, if I was going to require the use of SOG, I'd want to make sure you get to actually use it's content in the mission!). I do plan on disabling PAVN spawns in the update i'm working on, but that's slow going due to features i'm putting in.

I have toyed with the idea of using some stronghold locations as airfields as well. This could lead to the same location being used as both at the same time, but you can never be sure what you are really dealing with if the gunship has already been lost elsewhere. You don't really know if there is a captive there or not. Tyrone's list of co-ordinates is often overlooked by some ported missions. I've often tried a new port and found that the co-ordinates are the original ones from Altis. Tyrone doesn't deserve any payment for those.

Regarding 2035 units , these are either reinforcements called in or ambient combat units. I've had a patrol of 2 Kumas, as well a Gorgon. I've also heard of a Strider on the radio. Having said that, the real world vehicles that they are based on, all existed in 2007 so aren't really that much out of place. I just wished that I had some 2035 Titan rockets to take the Kumas out. I had to make do with some 2035 MAWS rockets instead. Otherwise decent AT is hard to find and I don't know how to use what I do find.

I think the reputation issue is from killing BLUFOR units. As the BLUFOR units tend to dispose of OPFOR units before I get to them, I tend to kill mainly BLUFOR. I've tried looking in the mission scripts to see where the issue is but couldn't put my finger on it. I do know that having a bad reputation affects your chances of gaining intel amongst other things. The system does not normally attribute you with losses that you didn't cause.

No, stronghold locations haven't been changed, although I do recall allowing the game to "use" more airfields from the existing list. Just an FYI, the coords given in the phone call are static. In other words, they are entered in manually by the mission maker instead of any sort of dynamic grabbing of a selection of the actual strongholds/airfields.

As for the Kamysh, what faction was it part of? Was it CSAT or CSAT Pacific? I'm aware that the main culprit of the "2035 units being here? WTF?" moments is a misspelling in the blacklist for NATO (Pacific) Inherited from the port I used (I do have a fix for that, but I'm worried pushing the update might brick save games, along with me still needing to add some other things as well). It seems to also be the same with the promet rifle as well (it's not in the blacklist, guess that's another thing to add to the TODO list...). As for the Kamysh, as far as I know I haven't encountered a single one in my testing of any version using the blacklist I have in place.

Hey, thanks for letting me know about this. In regards to the reputation system, I haven't modified it in any way, so it could either be a bug introduced by some element I added without me even knowing, or it might be an issue with the port I used, or perhaps it might be something similar to KP Liberation, where the enemy drops and arty strike on a town and you get blamed for it? I really don't know in regards to that.
Alky Lee 2024 年 8 月 28 日 下午 3:05
On my first run through. The reputation system is broken. I haven't killed any civilians, and I already have a bad reputation. I'll have to wait and see if the civilians start taking pot shots at me before long.

In other news I had a Kamysh come by which I managed to avoid. I don't know if this was allowed or not. I've also found some Promet rifles in the loot boxes which probably shouldn't be there. I'm playing this run in the dark, as I forgot to enable the phone messages which should give co-ordinates of the airfields and strongholds. So maybe the strongholds are as the original mission, or maybe they aren't.
