This being a mod means I'd have to update my text database everytime the game's developers make changes to it. So, Nick and Markus it is for now.

You're right, and I've just figured out why that is the case. The next version will address this.
As a workaround, you can install the Crash Time Remastered Core components which prevents this problem (also the reason why I didn't detect this during testing).

selecting german only affects the menu and subtitles, the dub is still english

Ya but I want german dub with english subtitles
Currently I got German dub mod with original characters mod but it only changes drives not thier pictures in dialogues

The German dub is included in the mod and should be available when you switch the game language to German.

It's possible, but I didn't include it since all subtitles are in one single text database which means every time the devs make changes I would have to adapt them.

Is it also possible to change the subtitles?

In the English subtitles at least, the main characters are still referred to as "Nick" and "Markus" rather than "Semir" and "Ben"
