1. Take the VPK file in the steam -> steamapps -> common -> left 4 dead 2 -> left 4 dead 2 -> addons -> workshop folder and extract it as 'gcfscape'.
2. root -> materials -> particles / 'sparks' folder delete
3. Convert the folder(root) back to the VPK file / common -> Left 4 Dead 2 -> bin -> 'VPK.exe' to create a shortcut on your desktop and drag and drop the 'root' folder to the 'VPK.exe shortcut' to convert it.
4. Insert the VPK file into the 'addons' folder. And unsubscribe from this add-on
If you do this, the add-on collision warning with "Low Poly Textures" disappears, and in-game
"RED SPARKS" will also disappear.
I can't speak English, so this article uses a translator, so the sentence can be unnatural

i use others flashlight mods, but your "flashlight" is disturbing
To use your own flashlight, unpack the vpk then delete the file <materials\effects\flashlight0001.vtf> and repack the vpk. (if you dont like the muzzleflash world illumination you can also delete [muzzleflash_light.vtf] in the same folder)
The smoke not loading may be a mod conflict but if you wish to delete the lowpoly version then it should stop disappearing regardless.
To stop the smoke, unpack the vpk and delete the folder <materials\particles\vistasmokev1> then repack.
When you repack, I recommend adding an [addoninfo.txt] otherwise you won't be able to disable this mod without removing the vpk from the addons folder.
Not sure if this is the place to mention it or not, but I've noticed that there's an issue with the smoke explosion when you kill a smoker. It works the first time or so, but then it stops appearing and I'm not sure why (or when)
Especially visible on bright/day maps.
- The Green and Red lights (they stand out and seem pixelaty so I assume it was affected by this mod) on the breakable crescendo bridge seem to show it's black background during their pulsating animation.
- For some reason the pipebomb particle effects started to slowly go up into air, looking like some odd fireworks.
Opinion - I feel like the shooting lighting effects could be slightly higher res. Mostly when using SMGs it feels oddly sharp focused with distracting big pixels. I think it would not be an issue 3rd person game (I see it similar as to how detailed items in original RE games were in inventory preview in comparison to the one in gameplay).
Also, is it just me or is a lot more of blood decals that look very blackish?
Sorry for dropping all these on you. I hope it is not sounding too rude from me.
Please stay amazing, and have a good day ^-^
